Chapter 999: Incoming Attack

“So, you return first, Sandra. Although you are powerful, you are still the one overseeing all this work. It’s better for you to leave right away.” Lucas maintained the portal.

“That’s right. Leave this to us.” A blond woman smirked while crossing her arms.

A muscular man next to her just nodded his head without saying anything.

Sandra nodded. “Alright. This is a trap, so you have to be careful. It doesn’t matter if you can kill one or not. Just make sure you seize the medicine and immediately get out of there.”

“We know that already.” The blond woman harrumphed.

Sandra squinted her eyes before entering the portal. Meanwhile, Lucas explained, “All right. Karen, Baral. We’ll seize the medicine. I will somehow teleport Vice Commander Roodie away while both of you head straight to that idiot guy. Unleash your most powerful attack and seize the bottle of the medicine in his hand.

“It doesn’t matter if you kill some. It’s not like we’re afraid of anyone.” Lucas paused for a moment. “All right. Any questions?”

“None.” Karen shook her head. “It will be an easy mission.”

“Still, according to the report, there are still 6 grandmaster level summoners among them. What are we supposed to do with them?”

“Don’t worry. We have them.” Lucas pointed to the side.

They looked surprised because Lucas was pointing at several people wearing the academy uniform. These people were knocked out, but it looked like they were the present that they had prepared in order to distract their opponent.

Since that was the case, they nodded their heads.

Meanwhile, Selena and the others had regrouped.

“Is this going to work?” Flora asked. “I’m sure that the enemy will realize this is a trap already.”

“Yeah.” Sera nodded.

“It doesn’t matter. The other party should have found the enemy’s location. If you look at the sky and it’s still clear, it means the enemy hasn’t escaped.

“I still remember how they used a magic circle to seal their teleportation magic away. So, if nothing happens yet, it means they’re still here, maybe coming up with a plan to grab the medicine.” Selena shook her head.

“So, if there’s a magic circle in the sky, it means a fight is about to break out. And all we need to do is help them.”

“Yeah.” Selena nodded. “I don’t know how many enemies we’re going to fight, so I’ll divide us accordingly.”

“Got it.”

“Ah, Selena. Look!”

At the entrance of the Axia Academy, Lavinster was laughing happily while looking down at the surrounding people.

After eating the pill, a person said with a shocked face, “What? I feel nothing now. It only took a few minutes. This is a miracle cure.”

“How can that be?”

Some people couldn’t believe it, but more and more people said the same thing. If it were just commoners or lower level nobles, they wouldn’t really believe it. After all, Lavinster came from a high-ranking family, so he had enough influence to force or pay them to follow him.

But it all changed the moment a blond-haired man came to Lavinster. “To think that I would be able to get rid of that uncomfortable feeling. This is a miracle drug.”

He turned to Lavinster and politely bowed. “Thank you, Lavinster Kron.”

“Hmph. You are…” Lavinster squinted his eyes.

“I am Jeffrey Carnister, the second son of Marquis Carnister. This uncomfortable feeling has been bothering me for quite some time, so thank you for helping me. I will definitely not forget this favor.”

Lavinster was smiling inwardly. This was what had been missing from the entire mission. The moment Jeffrey Carnister confirmed it, everyone believed it was the truth. After all, it involved two highly regarded families.

However, that atmosphere had to be disturbed the moment three students wearing the Axia Academy’s uniform ran toward them.

“Help!”

“Help us!”

“Please help us!”

They screamed out loud while running toward the entrance to the best of their ability. All of them had a horrified expression on their face, as though death was chasing after them.

“!!!” Lavinster, Jeffrey, and other students couldn’t help but turn their heads to the side. There were even several teachers standing by their sides.

“What’s going on?” A teacher squinted his eyes.

“Help us.”

“Teacher!”

“We don’t want to die.”

Their desperation could be felt from both their faces and voices. The people were confused, but their confusion soon turned to horror.

Suddenly, one of them had their eyes popped out. They suddenly dropped to their knees and clutched their head or neck while screaming in pain.

“Aaahhhhh!”

“Noooo!”

“Help!!!”

They could only cry out for help, but people were confused. Some teachers and students looked at each other, thinking about helping them. But before they could make their moves, tentacles suddenly emerged from inside their body.

On one student, their stomach was ripped apart by the alien. The other student had the tentacles emerging from their back. The last one had a more complete form, but its head had been replaced by tentacles.

Their eyes had lost their focus, and their appearance horrified everyone around them.

“Aahhhhh!”

“What’s that?”

“Monster!” The first people who ran away were the civilians. They scrambled around, running for their lives.

The students sucked in a cold breath as they couldn’t believe the transformation. More importantly, they finally realized this was what would have happened to them if they didn’t take the medicine. The thought of becoming this monster alone was horrifying.

Obviously, the teachers wanted to act right away, but at the same time, numerous screams filled the entire town.

“!!!” All of them widened their eyes.

Lavinster remembered what happened in the previous city. He shouted, “Monsters like them are appearing all around the city.”

“What?” Jeffrey, who was beside him, dropped his jaw. He turned to one teacher and asked, “Teacher. I believe we, the Axia Academy, should handle this matter.”

The teacher couldn’t help but agree. “All students. Get ready to check what was happening all around the city. The teachers will take care of these students before us.”

“Teacher… Can we even do it? Their strength…” One student pointed at the alien. “This kind of pressure… Isn’t this a mature class at least… No, it’s beyond that.”

“What? Warrior class aliens? Multiple of them?”
