"The Greater Acquired Resonance Godly Forging Art!" Li Luo's gaze turned feverish as he looked at Jiang Qing'e. His primary goal in the Celestial Mirror Pagoda was precisely that. That art was the only method that could resolve the issue of his fourth blank palace. Unfortunately, the Celestial Mirror Pagoda was filled with secrets and was very large, so he didn't know where to start. Thus, the information Jiang Qing'e had was a pleasant surprise.
Jiang Qing'e reached out and grabbed Li Luo's hand, getting closer to him in full view of everyone. After which, a barrier of light resonant power erupted, completely covering them and blocking out any prying eyes. Her unabashed appearance attracted both attention and heartbreak from the crowd.
"When I came to the Celestial Mirror Pagoda, I received permission from my mentor to peruse some historical information. Unfortunately, even after going through the records, I was unable to find any information on the Greater Acquired Resonance Godly Forging Art. It is particularly secretive and has never been seen here. I raised hints of it to my mentor, but she had not heard of it either," Jiang Qing'e said.
Li Luo nodded. From what he knew, the Greater Acquired Resonance Godly Forging Art was something only the sect leader of the Sacred Void Resonance Sect could cultivate, and it was created for the express purpose of the Absolute Resonance Seed. Others were not capable of learning it. Such a heaven-defying art would definitely be stored away in the most secretive locations and would not be easily found.
Jiang Qing'e's eyes revealed a look of contemplation as she explained, "After flipping through information for a long time, I was unable to find even a single trace of the Greater Acquired Resonance Godly Forging Art. However, I managed to obtain some clues by chance."
Li Luo started to listen carefully.
"I found some clues in an ancient jade tablet. There was once a shocking genius who managed to reach the thirty-fourth layer of the Celestial Mirror Pagoda. Within it was an ancient altar, and he tried to activate it but failed. In the end, he could only leave regretfully, but he left records of what he saw. When I examined the symbols on the ancient altar, I had a hunch that the Greater Acquired Resonance Godly Forging Art could be found there."
Li Luo was surprised. "The thirty-fourth layer? In the last hundred years, the highest anyone has gone was the thirty-third layer."
He frowned. Based on what he knew, reaching that point was extremely difficult, and rising above it to get to the thirty-fourth layer was as difficult as ascending to the heavens.
"It's worth a try." Jiang Qing'e wasn't discouraged by the information, and her beautiful eyes shone with confidence. "With the two of us joining hands, the thirty-fourth layer is achievable."Li Luo nodded before he suddenly asked, "Why do you feel that the symbols on the ancient altar are related to the Greater Acquired Resonance Godly Forging Art?"
Even within the records of the Academic Federation, there had never been any records of it, which meant that Kings and Heavenly Emperors did not have much understanding of it. However, Jiang Qing'e had felt a hunch that that was the place to go. Thus, he found it very curious.
Jiang Qing'e paused and then her head. "I don't really know. It's just a feeling."
Li Luo pondered over this revelation. If one thought about it carefully, it wasn't inconceivable. Furthermore, Jiang Qing'e had been taken out of the Sacred Void Resonance Sect by Tantai Lan and Li Taixuan. She definitely didn't have an ordinary identity and it was possible that she was an actual descendent of the sect master. Thus, it was very possible that her intuition was right.
"It looks like we'll have to take a trip to the thirty-fourth layer." Li Luo grinned.
They had found a clue after much searching. Whether it was true or not, he had to give it a shot.
Otherwise, he would never be able to resolve the issue of his fourth blank palace.
"This is a very important clue. It must have been tough on you," Li Luo said gently.
Tantai Lan had only recently returned, and Jiang Qing'e would naturally have wanted to stay by her side. However, for the sake of helping Li Luo, she reluctantly chose to depart and went to the Celestial Mirror Pagoda alone. Her selfless actions had moved him to no end.
Her golden eyes watched him as she unhappily replied, "There's no need to stretch out your grubby hands every time you say touching words. They have a better effect if you don’t."
She looked at her slender hand, which was being held by Li Luo. His fingers were unintentionally, or perhaps intentionally, stroking her skin.
Li Luo sternly replied, "Is this completely inappropriate, considering that we are husband and wife?"
That said, he reluctantly let go of her jade-like hand.
The corners of her lips lifted slightly before going back to normal, then she continued explaining. "After advancing through the first thirty layers of the Celestial Mirror Pagoda's Heavenly Domains, the rest are related to the Celestial Mirror Martial Exchange. Only the peak experts are qualified to participate, and the Domain Traversal Battles are simply a screening and preparation for it. At the same time, it is an excellent opportunity for you as well. If you're able to seize it, you might be able to advance yet another step and become a third-grade Transcendent. If you can do that, we won't have to fear anyone within the Celestial Mirror Pagoda if we join hands."
Li Luo sighed. "It's incredibly difficult to make a perfect breakthrough. Perhaps it's even harder than attaining the title of Celestial Mirror Knight."
Whenever the Celestial Mirror Pagoda opened, people were appointed the title of Celestial Mirror Knight. Even though the number was few, it was still more common than the perfect breakthrough that was said to come with the aid of Celestial Mirror Sand. Even so, he would do his best to achieve it.
As the two continued their intimate conversation, the skies suddenly rumbled with a huge wave of energy. Everyone immediately saw four people piercing through the air in the distance. When they appeared, shocking amounts of resonant power undulations radiated from them like a hurricane, causing a mighty pressure to bear down on the entire area.
This immediately caused the chatter within the crowd to end, and things fell silent.
The numerous prodigies present had shifting expressions, including the seventh-grade Dukes that were known as Seedling Candidates. Fear could be seen welling up within their eyes.
"What mighty pressure." Li Luo was also taken aback as he looked at the newcomers.
“Those are the Four Knights. They are the strongest individuals in the Celestial Mirror Pagoda this time around and are all eighth-grade Dukes. If we wish to reach the thirty-fourth layer, they will be our biggest impediments," Jiang Qing'e explained.
Li Luo's gaze turned abstruse and he sighed in his heart. It wouldn't be a walk in the park after all. Eighth-grade Dukes were on par with Qin Lian. The fact that he had managed to kill her in the past was due to numerous circumstances aligning perfectly. It would be almost impossible to do it again.Furthermore, he couldn't destroy another Ten-Pillar Golden Duke Bergfried.
When he raised his head, he saw the looks of awe that filled the crowd as the four people gradually became clear.
The most eye-catching one was a tall woman equipped with soft, golden armor. Her silver hair was like a waterfall cascading down her back and her eyes were as bright as stars. Her close-fitting armor accentuated her well-endowed body, truly making her a sight to behold. In her hand was a long, golden spear, giving one the impression that she was an undefeatable goddess of war.
Behind the woman was a petite girl. Her familiar black-and-white hood along with the bamboo cup in her hand revealed her identity as none other than Ning Meng, a friend from the Fifth Minor Earthly Branch Realm.
"Her name is Sheng Qiao'er, a senior mentor of the Hallowed Coruscation Ancient College. She has a quasi ninth-grade light resonance and a lower ninth-grade metal resonance. She is extremely competitive and always wants to be the strongest in the room. Do you know her mantra?" Jiang Qing'e asked.
Li Luo shook his head.
"Friendship comes second," Jiang Qing'e said with a smile.
Li Luo's smile faded. This meant that the only thing that mattered to her was winning. She definitely had a strong personality.
"The green-robed man on her right is known as Lin Ju. He's from the Heavenly Origin Ancient College and has a lower ninth-grade wood resonance and a quasi ninth-grade earth resonance," Jiang Qing'e said.
"Lower ninth-grade wood resonance and quasi ninth-grade earth resonance?" Li Luo's gaze flickered. This was identical to his second resonance. He looked curiously at this individual who was meticulously dressed with not even a hair out of place. It was as if he had carefully arranged each and every strand. Clearly, he was fastidious. He didn't seem particularly handsome, but he exuded a slightly withdrawn temperament. His expression seemed indifferent and he looked like someone who preferred to stick to keep to himself.
"Lin Ju has a withdrawn personality and doesn't like to interact with others. If you meet him later, you can chop at him with a blade, but you can't touch him with your hands. Otherwise, he might lose his mind. Everyone in Heavenly Origin Ancient College knows that Mentor Lin Ju's favorite phrase is ‘please maintain a sense of boundaries,’" Jiang Qing'e explained.
Li Luo's lips twitched slightly. Someone who'd rather be chopped at with a sword than to be physically touched was indeed quite the individual.
"What about that one?" He then glanced at the third individual, a burly man with an oppressive figure. His ferocious expression was cold and thunder energy seemed to be contained within his gaze.
"That is Zhou Jun from the Mythical Spirit Ancient College. He has a lower ninth-grade thunder resonance and a quasi ninth-grade Two-Headed Thunder Diao resonance. The last one is Song Jing, a mentor from the Divine Sun Ancient College. He has a lower ninth-grade fire resonance and a quasi ninth-grade Golden Crow resonance."
Li Luo then looked at the man known as Song Jing. He had a handsome face and held a crimson fan in one hand. The fan seemed to flow with flames and caused the void to distort from the sheer heat.
"That person is insidious. Whenever he fights with others and defeats them, he leaves behind a derogatory remark."
"And what would that be?"
"’I'm just a newbie.’"
Li Luo's eyelids twitched. It was clear that each and every one of them was unique and talented in their own way... And so these were the Four Knights? They weren't simple in any way!
He let out a sigh. As he did so, the person who had attracted the most attention, the most outstanding one, Sheng Qiao'er, looked at him with her beautiful eyes.
She immediately descended before the two of them.
Li Luo was shocked by this and sighed deep inside. It seemed that it was impossible to hide his inevitable charm. Even this unfamiliar woman was attracted by his light.
Whoosh!
However, just as this thought ran through his mind, Sheng Qiao'er immediately pointed her spear towards him and asked in an unkind tone, “Are you the brat who stole my wife?"
Li Luo's smile instantly froze.
