Chapter 1619: Golden Armored Giant Beatdown

When Li Lingjing smashed the Golden Armored Giant's steel-like head with her staff, causing it to explode like a melon, a deathly silence filled the battlefield. This was especially true for Shen Jinxiao, whose laughter was now stuck in his throat, his gaze filled with disbelief. He couldn't understand why Li Lingjing had targeted the Golden Armored Giant!

"My name is Li Lingjing."

Shen Jinxiao's eyes widened in shock. Li Lingjing? Surnamed Li?

"You've probably guessed correctly. I was originally from the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li. I am actually Li Luo's cousin." Li Lingjing lightly twirled the Aquamarine Bamboo Python Staff, flinging away the blood.

Shen Jinxiao gave a dark smile. "I never realized you and Li Luo were so close. But even so, what of it? So what if you’re cousins? Once you enter the Origin Reversion Institute, your previous life doesn’t matter. Li Lingjing, your hands are soaked in blood, so the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li will never take you back, you traitor! You are a filthy outcast, hated and abandoned by all. Despite that, you still wish to be accepted by your bloodline? You're simply lying to yourself!"

Li Lingjing wasn’t phased by his words at all. She casually replied, "I don't need the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li's acceptance. All I need is Li Luo."

That statement was quite ambiguous, but it didn’t seem like they were lovers.

"Shen Jinxiao, if you wanted to kill anyone else, I wouldn't care. In fact, I would’ve been more than happy to lend a hand. Unfortunately, your target is Li Luo. If he died, what would happen to me?"

A cold glint and bone-piercing killing intent surfaced in her snake-like eyes as she glared at Shen Jinxiao. "I’ll tell you. I'd die as well. However, I'd also make you suffer a fate worse than death. I’d shatter your path of Laws as well."

Shen Jinxiao despondently replied, "Li Lingjing, the Honored Ones within the Origin Reversion Institute will not overlook your betrayal."

"The dead don't need to worry about such things," she calmly replied, clearly unmoved by his threats. She had long made up her mind, and nothing could be changed now that she had shown her hand.

When Shen Jinxiao heard this, he understood that Li Lingjing was determined to assist Li Luo to the bitter end. His face twitched due to anger. The original plan was to defeat Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e in a three-on-two fight. Never had he thought that one of his people would change sides! Although it was still three versus two, the sides had been flipped.

Actually, the Golden Armored Giant had been heavily injured by Li Lingjing's opening move, so it was actually one against three!

"Shen Jinxiao, I think it’s better if you just give up now," Li Luo said as he stared at Shen Jinxiao with ice-cold eyes.

The six Ten-Pillar Golden Duke Bergfrieds above him spewed out vast amounts of resonant power, and the golden Apex Resonance Crystal Core flowed with divine light as he pointed the Light and Dark Spear towards Shen Jinxiao.

Jiang Qing'e appeared behind Shen Jinxiao like a phantom and raised the Holy Phoenix Parasol. A sacred flame condensed on the tip, radiating light source origin energy.

Li Lingjing's Ultimate Devil Corruption Seed erupted with black light, and her slender figure began to transform, her legs turning into a pitch-black snake's tail. The scales had a frosty sheen that gave her an evil vibe.

The trio had sealed off all of Shen Jinxiao's escape routes.

Three against one. Shen Jinxiao was undoubtedly in a desperate situation. He could go toe-to-toe with one of them at most, but all three? His doom was all but certain.

"Li Luo, oh, Li Luo. I truly regret not crushing you when I had the opportunity in the Astral Sage College."

Shen Jinxiao let out a sigh. Li Luo was a mere ant at the time. If he had decided to end him, Li Luo wouldn’t have stood a chance. But his obsession with Jiang Qing'e's Heart of Light had made him delay, giving the ant an opportunity to grow.

Today, he was on the brink of ruin due to his previous decisions.

"Since you were so kind, I'll scatter your ashes across the world," Li Luo replied.

Shen Jinxiao suddenly let out a sinister laugh. "Li Luo, you shouldn't be too arrogant. You aren't the only one with a backup plan. It's still too early to say who will be the victor today."

Li Lingjing's betrayal was indeed beyond his expectations, but he had never truly banked on her and the Golden Armored Giant assisting him.

"Li Lingjing, don't assume that the Ultimate Devil Corruption Seed was given to you at no cost. I have received guidance directly from the Emptiness Heavenly Emperor, so I know that only one out of the three of us was meant to survive! It's fortunate that you've injured the Golden Armored Giant! You’ve saved me some trouble!"

Shen Jinxiao's face looked feral as he cut open his finger, causing fresh blood to ooze out. He then formed a seal and inserted his finger into the crack on his forehead, ripping it open fiercely.

An ear-rending, tearing sound rang out, and Shen Jinxiao's head was forcibly pried open through the crack on his forehead. The scene was horrifying. However, no blood flowed out. Instead, his skull was empty except for a pitch-black heart. The heart was beating violently, and a piece of talisman paper, as black as ink, appeared before it, emitting an unsettling aura.

This left Li Luo and the others stunned. The trio then activated all of their resonant power, launching a merciless barrage of attacks towards the heart.

However, the black talisman emitted a halo of light that immediately dissolved all of their attacks. Afterwards, it began to burn, transforming into an inky black substance that fused with the heart.

Blood-red tendrils stretched out from the heart and pierced into Shen Jinxiao's body, causing it to wither at an astonishing pace. Soon, all that remained was a pool of blood, but that was absorbed as well.

Within moments, Shen Jinxiao's body had vanished. The black heart, engraved with ominous runes, was the only part that remained.

"Come, Li Lingjing, Golden Armor. Fuse with my Corruption Seed and let me become a King!" Shen Jinxiao's deranged voice came from within the heart.

The pulsing heart sounded like a drum, echoing above the sea of blood.
