Chapter 1880: Return To The Dragon’s Mountain

Chapter 1880: Return To The Dragon’s Mountain

Grey listened to the man’s words intently, taking in all the information about the situation of the World. It was not as bad as he thought it would be, given that the Gnomes are all still mostly hiding. The reason they were still mostly hiding is because they were probably not confident they could defeat the humans yet, which was good news to him. He asked about the stance of the Magical Beast’s, but the group did not have any knowledge about that.

“It’ll be better if you leave this place, it’s not that safe.” He advised before disappearing.

The man in the Fifth stage of the Venerable Plane wanted to thank Grey once again for his help, but to his greatest shock, Grey was no longer standing there.

The others in their group were all awed by Grey’s short appearance, especially the young men and M mwomen who looked to be around the same age as himself. Seeing someone around their age show such strength, they too wanted such strength. Unfortunately, the world was not fair and some people were bound to soar in the skies while others were still finding their feet on the ground.

A few kilometers away.

Grey’s figure could be seen standing on top of a large tree, staring right ahead of him. This was the border into the Inner Court of the Magical Beast’s Forest. After listening to the man, he was able to ascertain that at least the Dragons did not betray them. Initially he wanted to leave the issue of the Necromancers until he found his father, but he did not know if the Necromancers were planning something major here, so he had to be sure that he at least alerted Sir Astarot. If not for Sir Astarot, he would not have been able to train in that secret world, and although he hated the last few months there, the legacy of Jakob Vaergahl is something that could not be overlooked.

“Are we going back in?” Void asked when he saw Grey staring at the border cautiously.

“I need to warn Sir Astarot about the Necromancers.” Grey told Void his intent of returning, which neither Void nor the Bunny Leader had a problem with. With the Bunny Leader’s scouts, it would be almost impossible for anyone to get within close proximity of them.

After confirming it was safe, Grey rushed straight into the Inner Court, his destination was none other than the Dragon’s Mountain. Following the same route he used when he accompanied the Vaergahl Family, he reached the Dragon’s Mountain after a few hours of flying.

The Dragon’s Mountain.

Grey did not dare to hide his aura as he approached, he knew that if he was caught sneaking into the Mountain, he would be killed by the Dragons here. It did not take long before he attracted the attention of the Dragons around.

One of the first Dragons he saw was surprisingly one he was a little familiar with. It was the Dragon he saved while he was in the secret world. In fact, if this Dragon and the other Magical Beasts were not captured, he would not have fought with the group from the Twilight Faction.

Seeing Grey, the Dragon was quite welcoming. Most of the other Dragons that came out were familiar with Grey, after all, he was personally invited by Sir Astarot to explore the secret world used by them.

Grey was able to meet with Sir Astarot a few minutes later with the help of the Dragon he saved.

….

In a cave in Dragon’s Mountain.

Grey was standing before Sir Astarot, staring at him with a serious expression as he told him of his discovery.

“They are in the Inner Court?” Sir Astarot found it hard to believe that there were Necromancers hiding in the Inner Court. Although he could not vouch for the other Magical Beast’s Clans, he was confident that the Dragons would never allow Necromancers into the Inner Court.

“Yes, in the Toad Clan territory.” Grey nodded, telling him the region he sensed their presence.

Sir Astarot gave Grey a strange gaze when he heard him speak of the Toad Clan. He still recalled the incident with the Toad Clan Leader a year ago, and could not help but wonder if Grey was trying to seek revenge on them.

“Are you certain of this?” Sir Astarot asked, it did not want to blindly follow Grey’s words, but it also knew that Grey would not come to it with false claims, at least from its short encounter with Grey, it did not see him as such a person. Seeing Grey nod seriously, it took in a deep breath.

“I will have to speak with the others to see what they decide. Trespassing into the Toad Clan’s territory is not something that can be done lightly, we also have to be a hundred percent sure before we can make any move.” Sir Astarot replied after a while.

Grey nodded, he knew Sir Astarot would want to confirm his claims before sending anyone out, “Do you have something like a map of the Inner Court?”

Sir Astarot nodded and a map appeared before Grey. Looking at the map, Grey pointed at a particular point and said to Sir Astarot, ” Send your best scouts here, you will confirm my claim.”

Sir Astarot looked at the place Grey pointed at, and it was indeed in the Toad Clan territory. Only someone that has seen the terrain will be able to point it out.

“Wait here.”

Saying this, the large frame of Sir Astarot stood up and walked out of the cave, disappearing into the night.

Grey heaved a sigh of relief now that he had told Sir Astarot about the presence of the Necromancers, at least now he did not have to think of coming back to deal with it. The reason he came back instead of going over to meet with his father was because taking into consideration the distance from here to the Eastern Continent where the Dawson Manor was located, even with their speed, it would take a few weeks to cover, which is enough time for the Necromancers to achieve whatever objective they have in the Inner Court.

With Sir Astarot taking action, they will be able to deal with the Gnomes in a matter of days. At the moment, his biggest concern is if the Toad Clan betrayed them. Knowing how the Toad Clan Leader hated humans, he did not think it was above it to want to kill humans at all cost. He did not raise the issue to Sir Astarot now because he also felt the latter would conclude it was him trying to use them to get revenge on the Toad Clan Leader.

Grey waited for the rest of the night, and it was only until noon the next day did someone come to call him over. In the Dragon’s Mountain, he dared not walk around, only staying where he was told.

He was led to a large cave, the same cave that was used by the Magical Beasts a year ago. But this time there were only Dragons seated in the cave.

Walking into the cave, Grey saw twelve Dragons, Sir Astarot included. He could sense the frightening aura each of these Dragons unconsciously emits and could not help but click his tongue. He bowed to greet them before looking at Sir Astarot inquisitively.

“It seems you were right.” Sir Astarot said, seeing Grey’s gaze.

Grey did not say a word, only staring at Sir Astarot. He did not think this was the reason Sir Astarot called him over, and it was just as he predicted.

“They seem to be searching for something, a human if I’m not mistaken. Does this have anything to do with you?” Sir Astarot questioned.

There is a possibility that Grey might be working with the Necromancers to want to wipe them out. Him appearing in the Toad Clan territory and then being the only one to accidentally sense these people was quite strange, so Sir Astarot decided to probe and see if Grey was working with the Necromancers.

Grey told him of how he appeared there, but he did not tell Sir Astarot he had a special way of sensing the presence of Necromancers and Gnomes, only telling him of how he accidentally stumbled upon them.

“I ran as soon as they noticed my presence.”

“How can you, a mere Seventh stage Sovereign, escape from multiple Peak Sovereigns?”

This time, the Dragon that spoke was not Sir Astarot, but a green Dragon with golden eyes and one horn missing.

Grey did not say anything, disappearing and reappearing a few meters away in an instant. When he did that, he also hid his aura as well.

Sir Astarot and the other Dragons were surprised when they tried to keep track of Grey. Although it was only for a short second, they lost track of Grey completely which was shocking to them.
