Ye Xingbei chuckled and pondered for a moment, “There’s a manor on the outskirts that’s modeled after an ancient palace. The scenery is remarkably beautiful, and the food is fantastic too. Sitting in the rooms, you can see a small bridge over a stream in the courtyard. It’s a wonderful blend of delicious food and gorgeous views. I am just not sure we can still book a room.”

He took out his phone: “I’ll give it a shot.”

To their luck, they managed to book a VIP room at the manor.

Hanging up, Ye Xingbei said with a smile to Gu Junzhu, “They had a VIP room available. These are the only rooms with a view of the courtyard. They’re pretty expensive too, but I’m confident you won’t mind that, Fifth Lord of Gu, right?”

“Huh?” Gu Junzhu looked at her, surprised, “I traveled all the way here and you as the host, aren’t you supposed to treat me? I was all set for a free lunch today.”

“Go away!” Ye Xingbei playfully punched him on the shoulder, “When will you ever have a serious conversation with me?”
