"That… is incredible, Brother Dawnblade," Aethersage said, his eyes carrying a hint of legitimate surprise. "Your disciple outdid everyone."

Alex couldn't feel more proud of Momo than at that very moment. "That she did," he said. He looked at the top of the list with Momo's name, next to which was his name, mentioning that she was his disciple.

"Your disciple didn't do that bad either, Brother Aethersage," Jai Heiyun said. "27 isn't that bad. He would have ranked second if not for Momo."

"I suppose that is something I need to consider," Aethersage said. "Still, how did she gather so many? I was keeping an eye on many of the participants. She was doing good, but not this good."

"Something changed halfway through," Alex said. "I can't tell you what, but she began finding more ingredients. I assume she found some sort of secret to the test that we couldn't."

"Maybe," Aethersage said, trying to figure out if he could see whatever this secret was. But with just the screen in front of him, he couldn't do that. He needed to be on the field.

"I will ask her when this is all over," Alex said. Even he didn't know what the secret was, but that was definitely due to the nature of the images they got to see. It followed their disciples, instead of showing a large overview of the entire tournament. That would've made it easier, surely.

They talked and continued watching the tournament for the next eight or so hours, watching all the disciples go through their turn.

The most anyone managed to recognize beside Momo was 42. 2 recognized above 30, and the rest below. When the first of the many competitions for the disciples came to an end, the ranking was secured.

Momo was ranked 1. Yuren was ranked 8. Jai Heiyun's disciple was ranked 28. Leafheart's disciple was ranked 19.

Alex cared little for the other disciples, even if they were doing well. He only looked out for his friends.

Once the competition was over, they were given a brief summary of what had transpired and what they were going to do next.

With the ingredient-gathering competition over, tomorrow they would hold the speed test. The disciples were cultivating, getting ready for tomorrow's competition.

Then the Divinity said something that caught him by surprise.

In between the competition, he would have expected peace and quiet, for the audience to leave for the day and come back tomorrow. However, according to the man, there would be no downtime.

The entire thing had been set up in a way that now that the audience was here, they wouldn't have to leave. A schedule was put into place where different friendly competitions would be held between various people, as well as different showcases for many to watch and enjoy.

The Alchemy competition was the major part of the tournament, but they also seemed to hold the entertainment of the guests in equal importance. As a result, every time there wasn't an Alchemy tournament going on, there would be something else for the audience to watch and even perhaps to participate in.

At that very moment, there were two people on top of the stage, fighting each other for everyone's entertainment. The battle wasn't serious, and they were only using flashy techniques to catch the audience's attention.

'They turned it into more than just a tournament,' Alex thought. 'They are putting on an actual show for the people to watch.'

Alex had to admit, that was quite the idea. The battle was quite fun to watch and laugh at. And the best thing about it was that it helped the actual competition too.

If the entertainment aspect of the tournament was being taken care of by this, then the Alchemy God wouldn't be forced to put theatrics into the final competition, making it a simple test of knowledge and skill.

No longer would there be mazes to walk through, and no longer would there be ingredients to be replaced with 2,500 other new Alchemists. It would be a straightforward competition, hopefully, and Alex really liked that.

Also, it was a fun way to pass the time before the disciples were ready for the next competition.

Momo sat with her cauldron, Red Dawn, before her. The fiery red cauldron was as eye-catching as it was useful, so Momo could feel the many eyes that were on her at the moment.

The second competition—the speed test—was ready to proceed, and with so many eyes on her, she began feeling the nervousness creep in again.

She closed her eyes in the end, forcing the gazes away from her thoughts to clear her mind. She felt much less nervous afterward and ready for the competition.

The Speed Test was simple.

After five test attempts yesterday, they were to make the pill today in three turns. They had to make all three pills, and at the end, they could choose which attempt would be considered for the competition.

After the test yesterday, everyone was handed a new pill recipe along with five sets of ingredients to work with. The pill was something they had never worked with before, so everyone was on the same page with it.

Due to no one being in the Self-Tempering realm, the pill was a True pill.

After five test attempts yesterday, they were to make the pill today in three turns. They had to make all three pills, and at the end, they could choose which attempt would be considered for the competition.

There was also the matter of how the rankings would not only consider the speed but also the quality of the pill, so they had to work fast while working as well as they could. Depending on the harmony, their rankings could improve overall as well.

So, Momo was fully prepared.

The best pill she had managed to make yet was a 68% pill during the first five attempts, but after reviewing everything, she was certain she could improve upon it. And she was also certain she could improve the time.

So, as soon as she was given the go, she began making the pill.

The first ingredient flew into the cauldron, and she began refining it almost immediately. With her Dao of Heat, the cauldron heated up almost instantly, which was incredibly helpful for her.

She was sad that she couldn't do what her master did—make pills in less than a minute—but then she wasn't her master. He had shown her how he did it, and that involved knowing the Dao of Space, which she didn't have.

As she was right now, she could only count on her current skills.

She tossed the ingredients into the cauldron, one after another, as they were ground down and turned to powder. When she reached the end, she quickly used her technique to pull in the energy within the cauldron, combining it with the powder to form the pill.

As soon as the pill formed, she pulled it out of the cauldron and directly threw it into a small container to the side meant to test and record the pill's harmony when it came into contact.

The moment her pill went in, her time was recorded. She had made the pill in just 7 minutes and 11 seconds. It being a True pill helped her immensely.

She then looked at its harmony, which came out to be 73%. That was better than what she had done before, but she could still see where she made all the mistakes.

So, after a brief rest, she was ready to make another pill.
