Chapter 2071: Chapter 1160: Breaking the Formation

“The Temple of Light is indeed unfathomable; its initial move was fierce and deadly.”

On the mountain peak, the old Yonir watched the dense mist rising from the battlefield, his graying eyebrows furrowed as he said, “This Illusion Matrix is stronger than I imagined. It seems to have been constructed using a Tier 6 Illusion Scroll as its foundation.”

“Exactly, who would’ve thought the Temple of Light possessed such means? Since the Blank Era, although the Human World has seen some Tier 6 experts, none among them have been skilled in Illusion Techniques. Clearly, Tier 6 Illusion Scrolls have never been born in the Human World.”

The Grey Elder shook his head helplessly and continued, “That Holy Lion Prince being able to trap a large number of the Alliance Army indicates his illusion skills are extraordinary, yet the illusionists can hardly run on both ends.”

At this point, the Grey Elder added, “No, I have been to Eternal Sleep Canyon. The Illusion Matrix there is exquisite, but the energy it contains is far less than this one. Even if those illusionists were all here, they would only gaze in admiration.”

“So, isn’t the Holy Lion Prince caught in a deadlock?”

In Diana’s starry eyes, a hint of hidden concern emerged as she blurted out, “Could such a large army be annihilated within this Illusion Matrix?”

“Although we are outside the Illusion Matrix and cannot peek inside, judging by the overwhelming killing aura emanating from it, there must be lurking dangers and perilous land.”

The Grey Elder affirmed Diana’s view, nodding slightly, “If the Holy Lion Prince doesn’t have a means of escape, the outcome might be total annihilation of the army.”

“Indeed, it seems the Holy Lion Prince might fall at the hands of the Temple of Light.”

Yonir’s old face bore a hard-to-describe emotion as he shrugged and said, “Perhaps we overestimated the Holy Lion Prince. It was unexpected that the confrontation defined victory right away. As an Otherworldly Lord, he may be strong, but arriving not long ago, how could he be a match for something that has been standing for three thousand years?”

Upon hearing this, both Diana, Durant, and the ever-silent trio of Alchemy Sages couldn’t help but have a trace of sadness wash over their faces. It felt as if, in the next moment, they would witness the Coldflame Army lying dead across the wild, a dreadful scene.

Meanwhile, on the mountain peak, Louise, within the Fortress command cabin, was restless as an ant on a hot pan, anxiously staring at the fog covering the battlefield below.

Her fair little face was filled with solemnity as she tightly twisted her eyebrows, murmuring softly, “Hey, Prince of the Human Race, you’re not really going to get lost in here, are you? Even this lady can’t do anything to this Illusion Realm.”

“But inside there are not only your generals but also all of my Blood Clan’s assets! This lady doesn’t care; you have to come out alive! You must bring your generals and my clan alive too!”

As Louise was nervous, on the city walls of Brilliant City, Hull and Gusta’s faces had a growing sense of malice and laughter, increasingly unscrupulous.

“Your Excellency, Chief Cardinal, isn’t it time yet?”

Hull’s face twisted as he stared at the scene of the bewildered and collapsing members of our side within the magic projection, mocking, “These clowns are really funny; the Lonely King can’t wait to kill all those Coldflame Kingdom pups.”

“Don’t rush, Your Majesty; ’The Killing Realm’ needs to gather the killing intent and madness within the illusion as energy supplementation to become stronger.”

Gusta appeared leisurely confident, sneering, “Let me see, the time should be about right. So, it’s time to enter the true moment of slaughter.”

After speaking, in a moment of triumphant laughter, energy waves surged around Gusta, making his red cardinal robe flutter fiercely.

In a blink of an eye, a giant blood-red magic array condensed in mid-air, quickly flying towards the city under Gusta’s control.

Upon witnessing this, Hull and the surrounding Gregory generals couldn’t help but widen their eyes. Clearly, this was the magic array to activate the next phase of the Illusion Realm!

Once the magic array and the fog merged, the Coldflame Army below would be finished!

However, as Hull and others looked on with sarcasm, waiting for the show to begin, the blood-red magic array seemed to sink silently without causing any ripples.

“Hmm?”

Gusta’s voice of confusion rang out as a face full of puzzlement appeared, clearly not having expected the current situation.

Just as Hull and others thought, this was indeed a special activation array that could progress “The Killing Realm” into a phase where opponents attack each other. But the illusion did not provide any feedback, let alone progress to the next phase.

“What on earth is going on?”

Startled, Gusta focused on the perception, yet found no clues.

Although he could clearly perceive that the entire illusion was still completely under his control, as if it had stalled, new commands were sent but received no feedback, as if obstructed by something.
