When Adam entered the bar from behind he was slightly frustrated. He had sadly been unable to meet Cecilia when going home. Her phone was unreachable and all she said was that she was having dinner outside with her sister.
Adam was rather happy that Cecilia was tying once again to her sister. But he would have rather had her present when he came with the Medusa potion.
'At least she will be safe with her sister.'
Adam thought simply as he walked down the stairs, invisible to all. This power was really useful and just imagining the number of crimes he could commit with it was astounding.
'Though I need to work on heat.'
He wasn't perfect yet but this was coming. Rome was not built in one day and he was really happy with the result.
"You are here."
When Adam opened the door, he was surprised to hear Yui say this as she looked exactly in his direction.
He moved the image away and appeared in front of her before taking a seat, "How did you find me?"
Yui grinned, "I really don't want to tell you as you will continue teasing me like this. But it could really help you." She shrugged, "Honestly when one isn't ready it's really deadly. But you still move Prana and you cannot completely hide all your physical traces. For example, when you open the door, while you block the sound, the flow of the air becomes different."
She mused a little, "Your illusions are really powerful, but don't fall into the illusion that your illusion is anything but illusions."
She seemed almost proud as she said this, causing Adam to face palm, "How long did you hold this corny wordplay?"
"Hey! I resent that. I think it's quite inspirational."
"Haaa…" He sighed theatrically but grew a little more serious. He was happy to see that Yui thought mirrored his own.
"Though I must say honestly, this isn't the kind of thing anyone can do. The level of concentration necessary for this is harsh and once again, if one isn't exactly ready for this kind of attack they won't notice."
She smiled, "The problem is. Sooner or later people will start knowing what you are capable of. At least as long as you leave any witnesses."
She spoke offhandedly before taking a huge stack of paper and placing it in front of him,
"I hate how despite this technology we still use paper. Whatever. This is the list with the name, power, and important information about the ones you captured for your last job. Good job by the way. Though I have some issues with the way you handled this we can talk about this later."
Adam took the list in silence, knowing that he couldn't exactly explain what happened to Yui. He scanned the documents lightly and kept the information in his head.
"What do you plan to do with them?"
Adam shrugged, "I have my plan. Having subordinates is good and there are other things I want to test."
"Humm…" Yui considered Adam for a moment before nodding and took another list, "Anyway we are taking care of them for now. Any ideas for the name of the organization you will create?"
"I really need a name?"
"If you don't want to end with a name like Prince Cinder I guess you do. But think about this later. Now let's talk about the big prize you bought for me."
Adam looked at the new list he had just received and he felt like his heart missed a beat,
"$65 million."
Yui grinned, "You are sure you only want 30%?"
Adam laughed quietly and shook his head, "You know my situation. This is honestly more money than I have ever seen in my life. But it doesn't matter. I said 30% so it will be 30%."
eαglesnᴏνel Adam had no doubt that he could make much more than this in the future if he was willing. There was no way he would jeopardize his relationship with Yui because of money.
"I see."
Yui smiled, not knowing what to feel at the moment. She had seen too much time and money turn the head of people and while Adam had always been very composed, there was no telling what greed could do to even the staunchest man.
She already decided that the full account would go to him, it would be her little surprise,
"Well, 30% of 65 million is still nearly 20 million. Congratulations Adam. You are now officially part of the elite in America."
*Clap* *Clap* *Clap*
She clapped and Adam's face flushed a little. He had never felt so hot. He may have played it cool but his other minds were furiously shouting in glee and joy.
"Well now here comes the complicated part. We obviously cannot send you the money in your normal bank account."
Adam did not want to be traced back to the murder. Even though he also now had a Hunter bank account from what he read. He wanted to see more about what this was about.
"Don't worry though. Laundering money is one of our most common jobs and it's time for you to have a few secret accounts. Always useful."
She moved a few documents, "Outside of pure cash, that bastard also had a few actions and many properties. We will slowly work on them and later you can decide whether to keep your part or sell it to me."
"I must say. I knew working with you would make me rich. I didn't think it would happen in one day."
"Me neither Adam, trust me."
She moved her pen, "Now about your job, what will you do? You don't really need to work as a Gigolo anymore since you have the money."
Adam shook his head, "I like having some traceable income while not really bright. Also, I honestly like the job. It's a good way to have a connection."
The money he received from being a gigolo would never surpass what he just got. But as he had seen with Hae-Woon, this position really was helpful both for farming Karma in an idle way or to have a somewhat legitimate reason to approach the influential women here.
Adam had not forgotten the super VIP corner of last night. While there were many normal humans, the true prizes were the ones from the supernatural world.
Yui nodded and she finally had a mischievous grin, "Since this is so, I guess you will be happy to know I have kept a particular new client for you today. I wasn't really sure about her name but I realized I wasn't wrong when she came here."
She had once sent many invitations to different women in high positions be they humans or not and while many answered some simply ignored her.
So when one of those special cards came back tonight she had been skeptical and did some digging. Thankfully she did otherwise Adam may have been quite angry.
"Who are you talking about?"
His curiosity piqued, Adam asked, and the answer he got made him gasp in surprise.
From all the people he knew, he would have never guessed that it would be her.
