Chapter 2257: Rank 4 Knight.

The spy was able to carry the round object easily with one hand and placed it in a drawer of a cupboard. But now the round object had transformed and had become so heavy that the pieces of the cupboard beneath it couldn’t be seen anymore.

Soon after expanding, the heavy and large flat donut began to glow. The glow was coming from the area within its empty center.

Space warped in this empty area. This caused the empty area to swirl like the eye of a whirlpool and glow an eerie white glow.

Then there was another terrible sound as space was torn. The sound was a loud crack similar to the first one. It seemed that something had broken again.

The empty space within the flat donut became a doorway after the space within it was torn. An armored knight struggled through it and came out from the other side.

The knight looked around and didn’t see any enemies. When he noticed that he was in a small room that looked to be a barrack, he knew that he was in the right place.

So he bent down and whispered to the doorway, “The landing point is clear.”

A few seconds after speaking, another armored man came through the doorway. Followed by another. And another.

One armored man after another passed through the gateway and entered the room. They had bypassed the defenses of the territory to appear directly within the base of their enemy. This made them excited.

What they want to do is obvious. They intend to raid the base of the Golden Hammer gang.

This used to be an illegal act and is still illegal. The commonly accepted way to defeat a gang is to challenge them and set a date for battle. On that day, the two gangs will meet in an open battlefield and fight.

They will fight until one of them is defeated and surrenders. The fight will be witnessed by other gangs and nobles, so the outcome will be witnessed and accepted by everyone.

The signal arrived, so many more people began coming out of the gateway. They all filed out of the room and arranged themselves in front of the barracks.

Their actions caused a lot of noise, but no one appeared to check what was going on. So the whole army of people was able to infiltrate the base without a fight.

The last person to come out of the gateway was the commander of this army. He is the leader of the Iron Fist gang, which happens to be the neighbor of the Golden Hammer gang on their right.

The leader of the Iron Fist gang is a knight. His pathway explains why he is in heavy armor from head to toe.

He is a rank 4 knight, so he has the rank 4 divine ability called the Heart of the Army. This is a divine ability that increases his power in proportion to the size of the army that he is controlling.

As a knight, he doesn’t have the ability to create gateways, and he definitely doesn’t have the ability to shrink gateways into light, small, and round objects that can be easily transported into the base of his enemy by his spies.

But he was rich and connected to other powerful godclads. He was able to enlist the help of an epic Walker and an epic Machinist to help him build a gateway and shrink it down.

This is how a knight was able to sneak 110 men into the base of his enemies. All of them are powerful godclads too, not ordinary people.

Ten of these powerful people will cause his physical prowess to increase from rank 4 to rank 5. A hundred people caused his power to increase from rank 4 to rank 6. The extra 10 people are to help him maintain the boost at rank 6 in the face of attacks.
