Guide to raise my cutie husbands

Chapter 1823 - 1823: entanglement with trouble

“I am. What are you doing? Why are you not resting?” Yu Dong was helpless and annoyed when she thought about how Ye Liu simply refused to sit down and relax a bit.

He could have slept a little just now but Ye Liu was already up and about, and it was alright if he just woke up. But he was also practicing martial arts. Was he worried that their child would not come out as a trained expert?

Ye Liu sheepishly smiled at her and said to her, “I want to sleep as well but today I just couldn’t sleep anymore. So I decided to come out and move my body a little. Maybe this way I will be able to nap a bit more?”

Seeing that he really was not lying, Yu Dong sighed and brought him inside the house. She said to him, “You should watch your body a bit. No matter how energetic you feel, you should still take a little break. How long have you been practicing?”

“It shouldn’t be more than an hour,” Ye Liu replied and Yu Dong shook her head helplessly.

She pinched him on the waist, causing the mer to yelp in pain.

She glared at him and said to Ye Liu, “You foolish mer. Have you forgotten that you are now carrying a child? How can you practice for an hour? Are you not worried that our child will end up getting tossed around by you?”

“Isn’t it better?” Ye Liu remarked with a cheeky smile on his face. “I don’t want our child to be filled with laziness. As long as he knows how to work hard, I think it’s good enough for me.”

Yu Dong had simply nothing to say to him.

She brought him to the dining hall of the main hall, where she heard Yu Fei say, “I don’t know what happened to me. I usually don’t sleep so long. I should have woken up before dawn but ended up sleeping for so long.”

“There is no need for you to worry, uncle,” said Chen Mi with a smile on his lips. “It must be because you are still recovering, so you should sleep a bit more. We don’t wake up early either; it’s alright if you sleep a bit longer.”

Yu Fei knew that Chen Mi was saying these things to make him feel better. When in truth, Chen Mi and the rest were already up and about for more than two hours.

He then turned to look at the dining table, and as soon as he took a look at the dishes that were placed on the table, Yu Fei was stunned. What was this? There was actually shredded chicken porridge as well as white meat buns with kale and lettuce stir fry? What was going on? How could they eat such a lavish breakfast without worrying about running out of water?

Yu Fei blinked his eyes as he picked up a bun and took a bite. As soon as he finished taking a bite, his mouth could not help but fall open when he realised that the filling was actually juicy and oily.

He had never eaten a bun as delicious as this, even in the capital!

That wasn’t all; there was a big jug filled with fruit juice and no one hesitated in feeling their cups and drinking it. Seeing this, Yu Fei was even more shocked.

Yu Fei did not want to act out of the line, so he did not say anything on the spot. But once the meal was over, he caught hold of his sister and then pulled her to the other side of the room, where he asked her, “Sister, is this alright? Can we really eat like this?”

Yu Fei was not aware of the situation of the village and felt like he was putting another burden on Yu Dong. He did not want her to work extra hard because of him.

When Yu Yue heard Yu Fei’s question, she knew what he was worried about and chuckled lightly. She patted him on the head before saying to him,

“There is no need for you to worry so much. Everything is alright; the breakfast was a bit light compared to the other day. I think that Dong Dong and the rest did not want to worry you too much, which was why they did not cook too many dishes.” Yu Yue smiled at her brother before saying with a hint of self-reproach, “Blame me. I should have told you about this before; if I had, then you wouldn’t have to worry like this.”

Yu Fei: “…” No, I would have still worried about this matter just like this.

Yu Yue said to her brother when she saw that he still looked worried, “Alright, there is no need for you to worry so much. Leave everything to your sister and mother, we will deal with the important matters. You only need to rest.”

“Okay, I know,” Yu Fei nodded. Since his sister had already said these words, if he was to say anything, then he would only come out as petty and narrow-minded if he was to quibble. Thus, it was better to leave this matter as it was.

“How many times have I told you that you need to peel the peanuts or else they cannot be sold? How are you so useless?”

The sound of scolding echoed in the surroundings and Yu Fei turned to look at his sister when he heard these words. He couldn’t help but ask, “What’s going on? Who is scolding who?”

Yu Yue frowned and sighed. She turned to look at her brother and said to him, “It’s nothing. Its daddy, Wen, has gotten more and more paranoid ever since Sister Ah Ming got married. No matter how many times mother asked him to stop acting so controlling. He just doesn’t listen to a thing that mother has to say!”

“Sister Ah Ming got married?” Yu Fei knew and remembered Yu Ah Ming. And he remembered one more thing and that was that Yu Ah Ming was a really bad and lazy woman. Though they were all raised in the same way and manner by Second Grandma Yu, Yu Ah Ming, for some reason, grew really crooked.

She was not only lazy but she was also eager for short benefits and was a daddy’s princess. No matter how wrong Daddy Wen was, Yu Ah Ming would listen to her Daddy with blind eyes.

Because of this, there was a lot of trouble. With how Yu Ah Ming was, Yu Fei never thought that she could even get married. Now that he heard from his sister that Yu Ah Ming was truly married, he was speechless.

Who was the unlucky mer who married that woman?

Yu Yue knew what Yu Fei was thinking and sighed heavily. What could they do? It was not that they wanted to harm a mer, but they had no choice.

Second Grandma Yu clearly told Daddy Wen that Yu Ah Ming could not get married until she got better at managing her life and started working hard but Daddy Wen did not think that there was anything wrong with his precious daughter. If anything, he thought that they were looking down on Yu Ah Ming and fought with mother several times.

Because of this, Yu Ah Ming started believing that she could do anything and became more and more lawless.

She didn’t want to work hard but she wanted to get married.

Daddy Wen also thought that it was unfair to his daughter so he went ahead and fixed her marriage with a mer. By the time they found out, it was already too late and they had no choice but to bring the mer home.

But despite all of this, Daddy Wen and Yu Ah Ming did not think that there was anything wrong with what they did or were doing. Instead, they blamed and scolded the mer whom they brought home.

Every time something went wrong, they would blame the poor mer and with how Daddy Wen was, he liked to act as if he was being suppressed and dominated by his son in law.

What was more, he didn’t like to share his precious daughter with his son-in-law. Thus he suppressed and stomped on the head of his son-in-law as he liked.

Her brother-in-law was a good person; thus, he did not fight with Daaddy Wen but that only made that mer even more bold.

“Hah! What did you say? Are you saying that I am being unreasonable? How dare you! Ah Ming! Ah Ming! Come here and see this; your husband is calling me unreasonable! Sob! If I knew that I would be treated like then I would have left this house long ago! How can this mer not even listen to a few words? I was just trying to help him, wahhhh!”
