Harem System: Spending Money On Women For 100% Rebate!

Chapter 221 - 221: Go Back To The Beginning [FIXED 8/2/25!]

Kyle was unravelling. It was unknown if his repressed memories were the one thing keeping him sane, but it was clear that they had an impact on him.

Kyle accepted his fate, Jones had every right to react as he did.

Kyle noticed all eyes were on him, looking at him like he was some victim but Kyle didn’t care much about the attention he was getting.

He walked past them and into the building like nothing had happened.

But Jones’ punch had split his lips open and Kyle could taste his blood.

The truth was, Aiysha never rejected him because he didn’t make a move on her.

However, he wasn’t going to let Jones know.

The fact that Aiysha told him was good enough for Kyle.

Kyle took it into his own hands to test her after Jones had shown concerns of his wife cheating and this was why he went from avoiding her.

Kyle realized that now was the best time to leave this building. He should have done that long ago because if he did he wouldn’t be in this situation.

Kyle walked back to his apartment but the moment he reached the doorsteps of Jones.

He contemplated confronting Aiysha but she did nothing wrong. If anything, she had earned his respect but Kyle knew this gave Jones the security in his marriage that he was looking for.

If Aiysha could reject a handsome billionaire like himself the Jones had nothing to worry about.

In Kyle’s twisted mind, he was helping out a friend and his job was done.

Kyle walked into his apartment and collapsed on his bed.

The mental strain on his mind was something that he didn’t anticipate because Kyle had doubts about everything that occurred.

He realized that there was something he wasn’t seeing but this couldn’t deter him from his goals.

“Hey system, is it possible for you to help me retrieve lost memories?” Kyle questioned but his request fell on deaf ears.

That would be a miracle if it did as it would cure all of his problems and he might not need the therapy but the system had no form of individuality.

It couldn’t answer questions either so it wasn’t useful when it came to information as it had a fixed set of responses.

Kyle hated this and what Susanna was insinuating was something he never entertained until now.

If he couldn’t recall the role that man played in his life or why he repressed memories related to him, he couldn’t trust the circumstances of his mother’s murder.

“I have to go back…” Kyle muttered under his breath. He had to revisit his past.

He couldn’t sleep and quickly got up from his bed. Kyle knew it would be foolish to drive his car in that neighbourhood as he would be robbed in a matter of minutes.

If anything, the place had gotten worse over the years but everything began with Clarence.

The moment Kyle killed him, there was something violent in him that was trying its best to get to the surface.

Kyle hopped back outside but while outside, he ran into Aiysha.

She couldn’t even look him in the eyes because she was aware of their scuffle.

Of course she was, she watched it through the window but Kyle didn’t mind it.

They probably thought that Kyle would cut the renovation funding and partnership he had with them but that was something that Kyle had no intention of doing.

All Jones did was defend his marriage like a man should do and Kyle didn’t hold that against him.

Kyle, however, knew it was time to end whatever relationship he had with his wife and if need be, with Jones.

Kyle walked past her without saying a word but his body language was mostly unchanged, showing he wasn’t affected by the situation.

Kyle needed some fresh air and knew that the chemistry with the only man he could call a friend had changed in the blink of an eye.

Calista was scheming and plotting, she noticed Ella’s missed call earlier but there was no urgency to return it.

Ella wasn’t at the top of her friend list and while she grew to tolerate Ella, it didn’t mean they were by any means close.

Ella was a means to an end and Calista sensed that Kyle was catching on so she couldn’t do as she pleased or there would be repercussions.

But she wanted to meet this lady called Jane, she wanted to know the woman who had Kyle in a chokehold and why Ella kept referring to her as his girlfriend.

But before her thought could go any, the idle phone in her hand rang. It was Kyle.

Calista quickly cleared her throat before answering with a hopeful voice, a call telling her to come to him.

“Hi Kyle…” Calista was the one that began the conversation but there was no response for a couple of seconds.

“…Kyle?” She repeated his name, hoping for an answer and it soon came.

[[Hey you…]] Kyle’s voice was as gentle as she remembered, she didn’t know when a smile crept up on her face.

“Hey stranger,” Calista responded, kicking her feet up and she loved that Kyle made her feel like a high school girl in love.

[[Calista, I have something to talk to you about.]] Kyle said.

“You have my attention, what do you want to talk about and wouldn’t you rather do it in person?” Calista asked, trying to kill two birds with one stone.

[[We barely do any talking when we are together, you know this…]] Kyle teased and Calista blushed.

“Hehehe! You’re right. Talk to me baby, I’m all ears,” Calista gave him her full attention but that was to be expected.

[[Why didn’t you tell me?]] Kyle asked and her demeanour immediately changed with the smile on her face slowly fading.

“What do you mean?” Calista asked, the fear apparent on her face.

[[You met up with her, didn’t you? Why did you lie to my face?]] Kyle asked right away but this was Kyle having enough.

He was ready to self-sabotage, he didn’t care if she stayed or not but this would make Calista try her hardest to make it up to him to prove she was trustworthy further shackling her to him.

“I-I can explain,” Calista said, stuttering.

[[Can you? I cannot trust you, Calista…]] Kyle was straightforward but Calista knew that Kyle was a man that wouldn’t tolerate nonsense.

She had to come clean or risk being cut off. Calista took a deep breath and realized she had no choice in this situation.

“There is nothing I can say to justify my action. I did go behind your back to get information and I’m sorry I didn’t tell you but I had to make sure,” Calista pleaded.

She didn’t try to deflect because she knew that her intentions weren’t in Kyle’s best interest.

But Kyle didn’t say another word and that was the end of the conversation because he hung up.

Calista was scared and began to call him but his phone wasn’t going through.

“What have I done?” Calista thought.

This wasn’t worth it and she realized that Kyle had every right to react this way and the ridiculous part of all of this was she planned to tell him.

But this also meant that the woman must have either informed Kyle or Kyle had eyes on her.

Kyle was disgusted by Calista’s behaviour and had to let her know because there was no justification for this but this was the last thing on his mind.

He did this so Calista would be reminded how fragile her role was in his life.

Kyle didn’t care much about her act as he had little to no expectations of her from the start.

If this was done by Jane, his reaction would have been a lot different because Kyle trusted Jane.

He was in a cab already when he made that call and the cab driver was eavesdropping.

“Woman trouble?” The driver asked but all Kyle did was smile at him.

“A happy woman is a happy relationship. Don’t forget that,” The man said and the only reason Kyle didn’t nip it in the bud was because he was a lot older than he was.

You could say it was a sign of respect even though his advice was unsolicited. Kyle didn’t care about whatever advice he had to give, he wasn’t some child who needed knowledge imparted to him.

This was a common theme with elderly people but just because they were older, didn’t mean they were better suited to face life.

But this was a stupid saying nonetheless, Kyle wasn’t going to live a miserable life just to make the women in his life happy.

You only live once so why spend that single life miserable?

It didn’t matter because there was only one thing on his mind right now.

“Can you please keep quiet?” These were words Kyle wanted to say but couldn’t.
