Chapter 3871: Bloom!
When change came, one needed to move alongside the change and dance with it!
That was how Noah chose to exist now.
Not in defiance of the current or submission to it. Instead, he had to be in that in-between place where motion met mastery. Where understanding bred direction.
The wind across the Early Veiled Shore was soft and wide, like breath rising from the lungs of existence itself. He stood still, feeling it, letting it rustle his wild hair and settle against his bare shoulders, eyes lingering on Liora.
She still knelt where he’d left her, face furrowed in the subtle pain of rapid change. Her Tower shimmered behind her- young, beautiful, trembling beneath the weight of a newly awakened origin. She didn’t speak as he approached, but the worry in her eyes said enough.
"You father will be alright," Noah said. "He’s one of the most obsessed existences I’ve ever seen as I’d say he’ll eventually find a way to overcome the Inevitability. Maybe even master it."
Liora’s brows pulled inward as she listened attentively.
"You were lucky," he added, tilting his chin toward the shimmering blue mist surrounding them. "Very few even glimpse a place like this, let alone step foot in it, and here you are. If you want to be useful, help it thrive."
...!
She looked at him now, unsure. He met her gaze calmly.
"Use the sand," he said, being more direct as he pointed to the ground. "Turn it into glass. Make a few tools. Then use the tools to take the water you see in those shores and feed the three trees over there."
He pointed to everything as if he just got a worker who would tend to this glorious garden.
And Liora, Bob’s Daughter, hesitated only a breath before nodding. There was something soothing in being given a task. A direction to move. As her Tower settled and the Living Origin within her weavings began to solidify, she turned downward to face the sand.
She raised her hand.
White flames flickered from her palm, delicate at first, then brighter- hotter. The sand did not yield easily. Its grain shimmered with dormant authority, dense with the residue of early time. It pushed back. It resisted.
But Liora pressed forward. And Noah left her to it.
He turned toward the edge of the mist, toward the place where the shore dissolved into that strange, persistent fog. He lifted his hand and tapped against the veiled membrane. The fog twisted aside like a curtain, a narrow pathway forming in its wake, and from its end...was the scene leading out to the Infiniverse Wheel of Existence.
And at this entrance...
A familiar warmth poured through.
She walked slowly, as though unsure of what she was seeing- golden light behind her and clear sands before her.
"Just what have you found now..." Amelia Osmont whispered, stepping barefoot onto the sand.
Onto the Early Veiled Shore!
But the moment her toes kissed the surface, her body trembled. Light burst from within her.
HUUM!
Noah was there instantly.
His arms caught her as her knees buckled and her weavings bloomed. The Living Seed of Existence that had slept within her bloomed in response to the land itself. Just by stepping into the Early Veiled Shore, she was granted the distinction of a Living Origin!
And so would all others that followed!
The prompt floated before his eyes.
The Population of the Budding Shore has increased to 5 / 25
He smiled at it, gently helping his mother into a seated, meditative position on the sand.
The mist behind him still shimmered.
And soon, one by one, others began to appear.
First, Adelaide. Her glacial hair danced like wind-stirred snow, her hand fitting easily into Noah’s. When her foot touched the Shore, she gasped.
The transformation began again.
Her body flared with waves of shimmering resonance as the process of becoming a Living Origin overtook her. Noah held her steady, guiding her down beside Amelia, his fingers brushing her wrist with silent reassurance.
Behind her came Henry.
Then Barbatos. Then the other Queens of the Infiniverse!
Then Kazuhiko, the Great Beyonder, and even the prideful Emperor Penguin, waddling forward with silent curiosity!
Each one was changed the moment they arrived.
Each one became something greater.
Each step into the Shore shifted their existence fundamentally.
The prompts came in waves as they passed.
| Population: 6 / 25 | | Population: 10 / 25 | | Population: 20 / 25 | | Population: 25 / 25 |
And when the maximum number was reached...
The land responded.
The trees shook gently in the distance, leaves brightening from deep emerald into translucent golds and ambers.
The sand pulsed faintly beneath their feet, a steady rhythm like the beat of a distant heart.
The Sacred Waters rippled outward even without wind, reaching for every new form of life that had joined the Shore.
The Early Veiled Shore welcomed them.
And Noah, standing at its center, smiled quietly.
The mechanism was clear now. The more complex beings he brought, the faster the Shore would bloom.
...!
He stood still as the prompts bloomed before his eyes soon after, each one cascading in layers of radiant script, each pulsing line a ripple across his mind!
The number of complex lifeforms within the Budding Shore has increased.
The maximum number of individuals that can occupy the Budding Shore has been reached.
He didn’t need to glance behind him to know that more were transforming. The golden light suffusing the sands was enough. It reached the trees, the Wok, the sacred waters themselves.
And as he observed all of these, another grandiose prompt came!
A required condition has been triggered. Subsequent conditions to advance the Budding Shore of the Early Veiled Shore to become a Blooming Shore are now known.
Noah exhaled with quintessential glory.
The gold-lined prompts that followed thr one before felt heavier. As if the words themselves carried weight in their curvature!
They dealt with condititions to advance the Early Veiled Shore!
To elevate to the Blooming Shore: 1) Reach the population requirement: 25/25. 2) Obtain and defeat an Early Living Marine Lifeform holding a Refined Early Living Existential Glyph. 3) Survive the Lost Basic Record of an Early Creature.
