Chapter 3907: Glorious! III
A Sacred Totem had formed, and it flashed its brilliance gloriously!
The Sacred Totem of Infinity awaits to have its Sacred Bell rang for the first time in order to release the call to Early Living Land Lifeforms. Chances of attraction are exceedingly low. The likelihood of summoning an Early Living Land Lifeform increases depending on the distinction of the Sacred Totem. Unique conceptual foundations significantly improve rarity and response rate.
Noah stared at the prompt, lips curling faintly as he was ready to get started!
"Ring the Sacred Bell of Infinity," he commanded.
And...!
Silence.
The Sacred Bell of a Sacred Totem can only be rang physically with the hands of the Early Creature.
...!
Noah exhaled slowly, his smile becoming sharp.
So that was how it had to be.
He approached, steps echoing softly as he reached the newly born tower. The base held a staircase spiraling upward along the interior wall, illuminated with glowing etchings that pulsed with every footfall. Moiraine, Liora, even Ruination anf others watched from below, silent reverence in their eyes. To them, this was no casual act, and instead something else entirely!
Each step bore weight. Not metaphorical- actual resistance pushed against him as if the tower itself tested his resolve. His body ached from the climb, yet his mind remained crystalline, focused. Complexity bloomed in his bones, each movement actually making him stronger, each breath another step in the ascent.
He reached the summit soon enough as...
The bell loomed before him.
Close up, it glowed faintly with swirling stellar wheels trapped within its curves. Beside it, a rope of woven cerulean threads and silver anchors waited for his touch. He reached out with one hand, then paused- and then both hands wrapped around it, and instantly...resistance struck.
As if he could not pull this rope down!
The Glyph of Infinity on his chest flashed. Then, the Glyph of the Protagonist pulsed. Muscles trembled, arms flexing as he pulled down with everything he was. The rope moved slowly, infinitely heavy!
And then...!
DING!
It rang.
A singular tone.
Deep.
Endless.
It reverberated through the folds of the Early Veiled Shore, through the sands, through the water, through the stillness! A sound older than sound, more profound than truth!๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ ๐๐๐ป๐ผ๐ฏ๐๐.๐๐ผ๐บ
The Sacred Bell of Infinity has been rung for the first time. An incredible achievement! From its ringing, immense waves of complexity erupt as another Glyph of Infinity is forming within you.
Blue shockwaves spread from the bell towerโs peak, washing over the entire shore.
Below, Moiraine lifted her gaze. His mother and wives, too! And beyond, the Infiniverse and Ruination paused what they were doing, gazing upward as their bodies glowed faintly.
Another prompt bloomed.
All those who hear the ringing of the Sacred Bell of Infinity, regardless of their power or complexity, will experience a single Early Sacred Living Epiphany that will either allow their complexity to surge by 25%, or broaden their weavings of complexity by incorporating the heavy musings of Infinity into what they are.
HUUM!
Noahโs eyes narrowed, watching as glyphs of soft cerulean appeared above each of their heads- symbols wrapped in cloud-like halos as if the land itself had offered them a vision.
And still, the bell rang.
The tolling of the bell has been deemed to be... Exceptional!
Another prompt shimmered before his eyes.
The bell has been rung, and depending on the myriad of factors of the Sacred Totem of Infinity, an Early Living Land Lifeform may be attracted... or may not be attracted. It may not be rung again for some time.
He stood in the stillness of that final toll, the wind pressing against him at the towerโs peak. The sea remained silent. The skies seemed to hold their breath.
And Noah Osmont, Early Creature of the Budding Veiled Shore, simply waited.
He did not need to hope.
He had already done all he could!
The wait.
The tolling of the Sacred Bell of Infinity echoed long after its chime had faded, reverberating like a question cast into the breathless silence of the Early Veiled Shore. Noah stood atop the tower still, the cerulean Glyph of Infinity etched across the left side of his crystalline chest pulsing like a quiet star.
The air held its breath. The winds of the Veiled Shore dared not stir. And Noah waited.
Waiting- such a strange, neglected virtue!
A thing scorned by the impatient, misunderstood by the impulsive.
Yet to Noah, it was neither shameful nor passive. He knew that many were addicted to the immediacy of fire, to the flash of power and sudden culmination.
No one knew how to wait anymore. But waiting, truly waiting, was its own kind of strength. In waiting, one revealed whether they could bear the weight of their desire without drowning in it.
In waiting, one measured their stillness and strength by anticipation.
For the patient, sometimes...a second was enough.
BOOM!
A sound thundered through the thick, ever-churning mists that framed the borders of the Early Veiled Shore.
Noah turned his gaze toward it, his expression unreadable. A new prompt formed before his eyes, glowing cerulean!
In the Earliest Folds, it was common for Early Creatures to wait days, months, even years after tolling the bell of their Sacred Totems before any Early Living Land Lifeform would answer. Yet for some... mere seconds sufficed. It all depended on the sweetness of the Bellโs call.
The ringing of the Sacred Totem of Infinity has been deemed unfathomably exceptional. An Early Living Land Lifeform has responded. Will you grant it entry?
Noahโs lips curled into a smile. "Yes."
The mists trembled again.
BOOM!
A beam of white light surged forward from the gray mists- so bright, even the cerulean glow of the Sacred Totem seemed to dim in reverence. The radiance took form, and then form took shape. What emerged was not some titanous beast, nor a celestial horror.
No, what emerged... was a goat.
A goat!
But not just any goat.
It trotted through the mist as if it parted before its will, its steps soft and deliberate, its hooves clicking gently upon the grainy golden sand.
Its coat shimmered with such pureness of white it threatened blindness to all who stared too long. Each strand of its fur glowed like liquid snowlight, its eyes crystalline pools of ancient clarity. Yet those eyes... they narrowed. Sharpened.
Arrogance shimmered within them like a well-polished mirror!
Endless arrogance!
