Kill the Sun

Nick prepared himself mentally.

He would need to act very unlike himself for this next conversation.

Nick changed his appearance into that of an unhealthy and small man.

He had black bags under his eyes, and his black hair was disheveled.

To top it all off, he got rid of his lips, giving him an extreme aura of instability and perpetual anger.

Then, he started to run through the wasteland.

After a couple of seconds, his ability deactivated, and he knew that Lust had noticed him.

Sure enough, a moment later…

"You will serve me or die," a high male voice spoke in his mind.

The Elder from earlier was looking at the distant Nick.

Behind the Elder was the image of Lust, which was very different from what Nick had thought.

Lust was a fat and dirty man.

"Are you threatening me?" Nick asked aggressively as he stomped closer to the two Specters.

"So what if I am, loser?" Lust asked with a smirk. "You will serve me, or you will die."

'Loser?' Nick thought for a moment in surprise. 'This is a weird one. Although, all of the Corruptors are kind of weird.'

"You callin' me a loser?" Nick shouted with pure aggression.

His ability to disguise himself also allowed him to put himself in the headspace of the imaginary Specter.

So, while Nick still had full control over his actions, he genuinely felt an unending barrage of hatred and anger assaulting him.

"I am Lord Lust, and I am a Peak Fallen," Lust said with a smirk. "You better not mess with me, loser! Your only chance at- "

BANG!

Aggressive black smoke surrounded Nick as he charged forward in an instant.

With a single swipe of his long fingernails, he tore the Elder into pieces right in front of Lust.

"I don't give a shit, you fat fucking piece of shit!" Nick shouted as he looked deeply into Lust's eyes. "You're not even here. Fat fuck's too afraid of going one-on-one with me,huh?!"

Lust narrowed his eyes.

It was more than obvious that this new servant of his was an intelligent Specter with an altered state of mind.

These were always troublesome to deal with.

"I have three Fallen and over 40 Demons serving me," Lust spoke with an intimidating aura. "You will serve me, or I will kill you."

The sides of Nick's lipless mouth pulled up.

"Lust, right?" he spoke with a mix of anger and confidence. "You're the one controlling the cities around here."

"I sure am," Lust answered. "You better not mess with me!"

Nick started to laugh in an enraged manner.

"Good!" he said. "Now you've done it. You angered me, and I don't like being angered."

Nick dramatically pointed a finger at Lust. "I'll fuck all of your cities up! I won't rest until I free all of the cities of your disgusting influence!"

Lust narrowed his eyes.

BANG!

But before Lust could say anything, Nick stomped on the Greater Relay, destroying it.

His ability reactivated, and Nick calmed down.

'Alright, phase one is complete,' he thought. 'The antagonist has been introduced.'

A moment later, Nick retreated.

He didn't want to be found yet.

A moment later, Nick flew over to the closest stronghold, assumed his disguise as a special Agent, and contacted the Left Arm.

He told her what he had planned, and she agreed to send out a couple of orders.

'I can't just simply do the same thing to Lust that I did to Pride,' Nick thought. 'If a dumb Force Specter appears that keeps causing damage, the other Corruptors might connect it to the Force Specter that followed Pride.'

'I'll have to be a bit more creative.'

Nick looked through a couple of database entries and remembered the locations of several cities.

'This will be very unlike myself, but I'll have to make a scene.'

Nick traveled to the first city he had looked up and secretly investigated it for a couple of hours.

'I think the city is clean,' Nick thought.'This city doesn't seem to have a Corruptor's influence.'

Then, he went to the next city, but this one was also clean.

But when he arrived at the third city, he immediately knew that he found one controlled by Lust.

That was because there was a ton of sex everywhere in the city.

On the streets, in homes, in shops, at the workplace, everywhere.

Even more, they all seemed like they couldn't control themselves.

This was not just a cultural thing. It looked more like the people couldn't help but do this.

'Aphrodisiac gas is covering the city,' Nick thought, 'and it has a lot of Zephyx in it.'

Next, Nick scouted out the strength of the city.

'An Early Hero Governor, another Early Hero, and two Initial Heroes. The city's power is about average.'

For the next three days, Nick investigated the four Heroes.

He wanted to know if they were willingly working with Lust or not.

As far as he could tell, only the CZE of the biggest Manufacturer was knowingly working with Lust.

The other three just closed their eyes and looked away, acting like nothing was going on.

'Alright then.'

Next, Nick turned back into his aggressive Specter disguise outside the city.

He took a deep breath to prepare himself mentally.

Finally, he filled his head with the Specter's aggression.

And then…

BANG!

He charged forward with almost all of his speed.

"What is that?" one of the guards on the city's walls spoke in shock as he pointed at an aggressive black cloud shooting toward the city.

"SPECTER!" a captain of the guard immediately shouted.

An instant later, the Barriers of all the Specialists and Heroes activated in the city, alarming them of the incoming threat.

"LUUUUUUUUST!"

An earth-shattering voice echoed throughout the entire city, forcing all the normal people to hold their ears in pain.

"I'LL DESTROY YOUR FUCKING SERVANT!" Nick shouted with unending hatred and anger.

The power and Zephyx vibrations of Nick's shout immediately told the Specialists and Experts that this Specter was beyond their capabilities.

This was a Demon, no doubt!

The four Heroes immediately took to the sky and shot at Nick.

"Fuck off!" Nick shouted. "I want to kill Lust's servant!"

The Heroes knew that there was a servant of Lust present, but three of them didn't want to acknowledge it.

"Don't believe the words of a Specter," the CZE of the biggest Manufacturer shouted.

Having her secret exposed for the entire city to hear was bad.

Sure, it was only a Specter that said that, but everyone in the city heard.

This could gain Aegis' attention.

The CZE pulled out her rifle, and several images of tortured souls gathered around it.

While there was a big cloud of black smoke, everyone could still see the body of the aggressive Specter. This was not a Force Specter but a Physical Specter that could summon black smoke.

This meant that the Heroes knew what to aim for.

An instant later, a screaming bullet left her rifle, shooting right at Nick.

The cloud of black smoke expanded.

WHOOOM!

A gigantic hole appeared in the middle of the cloud, but they could see that the Specter's body had barely managed to evade to the side.

"Fine! You will die as well!" Nick shouted.

The other Heroes also readied their weapons.

But before they could fire, the cloud of black smoke was already upon them.

The speed of the cloud was crazy!

It was important to remember that Nick's baseline power was already twice as high as the baseline of a normal Hero, and with his newfound ability to keep his primary ability half-active, his power was essentially on the level of a Late or Peak Hero.

These Early and Initial Heroes couldn't possibly fight something like that.

BOOOM!

Darkness exploded out of the black cloud, covering the surroundings.

All the light was swallowed, and the Heroes felt the influence of the Nightmare taking hold.

BANG!

All of them rapidly charged out of the cloud to prepare for a brutal battle.

BANG!

The Governor's Barrier activated as something hit it.

All the Heroes looked over, and they felt like their hearts stopped.

The head of the CZE had just been thrown at the Governor!

The CZE had been one of the two Early Heroes of the city!

They realized in horror that they were powerless.

Their city would be destroyed!

"DO. NOT. FUCKING. MOVE," Nick shouted. "I am not here for you! I want to kill the servant of that fat fuck Lust!"

When the Heroes heard that, shock and hope entered their hearts.

"If you don't anger me, and if you comply, nothing will happen to you," Nick threatened with a deep voice.

"Bring me to Lust's servant right now!"

The Heroes were put in front of a predicament.

If they admitted that there was a servant of Lust present, Aegis might kill them.

But if they refused, they would die right now.

"We don't-"

BANG!

Nick arrived in front of the Governor in an instant and punched his Barrier, using up over half of the Governor's Zephyx.

"DON'T FUCK WITH ME!" Nick shouted with absolute aggression. "Bring me to Lust's servant, NOW!"

The Governor, completely intimidated, nodded several times.

"Follow me!"
