Myth Beyond Heaven

Chapter 2775 - 2775: Remnant of The Death (1)

Beyond the towering Primal Chaos Wall, the endless Realm of Chaos churned violently.

Countless Void Creatures and Shadow Demons swarmed against the crimson barrier, their twisted forms slamming against the ancient defenses with mindless fury. Each impact sent tremors through the wall, causing faint cracks to spiderweb across its surface before quickly healing.

Inside the wall, the Light Dragon Queen Long Xi stood with her three Dragon God Ancestors—Long Yi, Long Er, and Long San. Their draconic eyes glowed with solemn power as they monitored the assault.

“They grow bolder,” Long Yi rumbled, his ancient voice like grinding tectonic plates.

“The wall will hold. But we must prepare for the worst.” Long Xi said with a frown.

BANG!

As if responding to her words, the Primal Chaos Wall shuddered violently. A section of the barrier momentarily thinned, revealing the nightmare beyond—an endless tide of abominations, their forms shifting between reality and void.

At their forefront stood three colossal figures: a General Class Void Creature and two General Class Shadow Demons.

Long Yi’s eyes narrowed as he stared at the three. He could see that these three were entirely different from the others.

The wall quickly healed and returned to its original state under the Heavenhold Formation.

“I don’t know how long it can hold,” Long Er said solemnly.

Long Xi and the others remained silent. They were deeply concerned about the development of the situation.

Swoosh!

Suddenly, Yun Lintian emerged from the void with Linlin and Qingqing on his shoulders. He first looked at the wall and then reached out to touch it.

Yun Lintian’s palm pressed against the crimson surface of the Primal Chaos Wall. The moment his skin made contact, intricate silver runes flared to life across the entire barrier—the hidden Heavenhold Formation he’d embedded years ago now awakening at its master’s touch.

“Activate,” he murmured.

The world exploded in divine light.

BOOOOOOM!

A shockwave of pure annihilation radiated outward from the wall, scouring the Realm of Chaos for miles. Countless Void Creatures and Shadow Demons had only a heartbeat to scream before disintegrating into nothingness. The very fabric of the chaotic realm tore apart under the formation’s unleashed power.

Linlin’s white fur stood on end as she clung to Yun Lintian’s shoulder. “Whoa! So fierce!”

Qingqing covered her tiny eyes. “Too bright! Too bright!”

The three General-Class abominations reacted with unnatural speed. They retreated beyond the formation’s range, their forms flickering with barely contained fury.

Long Xi and the Dragon Ancestors stood frozen inside the wall, their draconic eyes wide with shock. The Heavenhold Formation’s display far exceeded anything they had witnessed before.

“Incredible…” Long San muttered. He hadn’t expected the formation to be this powerful.

“No,” Long Yi stared at Yun Lintian attentively. “He has become much stronger.”

“Indeed,” Long Er said in a deep voice. “His power can actually enhance the formation to this extent.”

Yun Lintian lowered his hand as the formation’s light faded. The wall stood pristine once more, its crimson surface unmarred.

“Those three are different,” his yin-yang eyes tracked the retreating generals.

“You’re back,” Long Xi said softly. She felt that she no longer knew her son-in-law, as Yun Lintian’s strength had exceeded her wildest imagination by a large margin.

“Thank you for your hard work, Seniors,” Yun Lintian said to the four. “I just got back not long ago.”

“Very good. We can be relieved now,” Long Yi said with a smile. The stronger Yun Lintian was, the better for them.

“What is your next plan?” Long Xi asked.

Yun Lintian didn’t answer but asked a question instead, “Have you seen Si Junyi, Seniors?”

“Si Junyi?” Long Xi raised her brow slightly. “No. We haven’t seen him so far. However, I can contact Senior Mo.”

“Senior Mo?” Yun Lintian was slightly puzzled.

“Mo Jianli, the God of the River of Forgetfulness,” Long Xi replied.

“Oh? Where is he now?” Yun Lintian was slightly surprised.

Long Xi performed a hand seal and sent a message to Mo Jianli.

A while later, Mo Jianli emerged from the void. His long black hair fluttered in the wind as he looked at Yun Lintian. “You have grown up a lot over the years.”

“Junior Yun Lintian greets Senior Mo,” Yun Lintian cupped his fists respectfully.

Mo Jianli stroked his beard and said with a smile, “It seems you have pried into some secrets.”

Yun Lintian’s attitude toward Mo Jianli shouldn’t have been this respectful, as the Netherworld was supposed to be Yun Lintian’s enemy. Clearly, he had stumbled upon a secret during this period.

Yun Lintian smiled and said, “My hostility against the Netherworld had long disappeared when Si Junyi helped me refine the God of Darkness’s inheritance. Moreover, the Netherworld forces have been protecting the Primal Chaos all this time. It would be unreasonable for me to hold a grudge any longer.”

He paused for a moment and said, “And yes, I have indeed touched upon some secrets. That’s why I want to meet you, Senior.”

Long Xi and the others were curious about what kind of secret it was, but they didn’t ask anything.

“Follow me,” Mo Jianli said gently.

Mo Jianli waved his hand, and a swirling vortex of dark energy appeared before them—a portal leading directly to the Netherworld.

Yun Lintian didn’t hesitate and followed him through, Linlin and Qingqing clinging tightly to his shoulders.

The moment he crossed over, the familiar oppressive aura of death he remembered was gone. Instead, a gentle, nourishing energy enveloped him, like the embrace of a long-lost home.

Yun Lintian’s eyes widened in shock.

Before him, the once-desolate Netherworld had transformed beyond recognition.

The River of Forgetfulness, which had once churned violently with the agonized souls of the dead, now flowed peacefully, its waters shimmering with a soft, silver glow.

The barren lands were now lush with fields of dark crops, swaying gently under an unseen breeze. Ghosts and spirits moved about in harmony, tending to the land, laughing, and conversing as if they were still alive.

“This…” Yun Lintian was speechless.

Mo Jianli smiled faintly. “The Netherworld was never meant to be a place of suffering. It declined over the years because of the absence of the God of Death. Junyi and I have restored it to its true purpose—a realm of rest and rebirth.”

Yun Lintian’s mind raced. He had once believed the Netherworld to be an enemy, a place of torment that needed to be destroyed. But now, seeing this… he realized how wrong he had been…
