Khepri led the trio to the canyons, after Aquarina asked Undine to heal their nausea and made her friends feel better, they reached the cliff where Khepri had been waiting for them.

“What’s this place? Some random cliff?” wondered Silvia. “Hey Khepri, be careful not to fall though!”

“I can fly, master!” said Khepri. “It’s over there… Down there…! Hurry!” Your next read is at NovelFire.Côm

The trio finally caught up to her after climbing the rocky valley, reaching the enormous cliff which was several hundreds of meters above ground.

The cliff led to a deep canyon, where they noticed not only giant mushrooms and cactuses, but also a bunch of monsters wandering around.

There was river down there, so large packs of dinosaur-like monsters drank water and ate the cactuses and other vegetation.

Meanwhile, huge predators lurked behind them, waiting for the right moment to strike.

Despite looking like a desolate area, the canyon was a very biodiverse area, with lots of creatures to hunt, but above all that, to also appreciate its beauty.

“It sure is a beautiful place now that I look it from up here,” said Silvia with a smile. “So anyways, where to?!”

“Thereeeee!” Khepri pointed into the distance.

Right in front of them, there was a huge tower naturally formed out of stone in between the canyons, which were actually huge cracks across the dry land.

In this naturally occurring tower of stone, Khepri detected one of her ornaments somewhere in the middle of its structure.

“Wait, there?!” asked Silvia. “You’re crazy! There’s several nests of Sky Eels over there! Those things are nasty!”

“They’re weak alone but there’s hundreds of them everywhere in that area,” said Justicio. “It would be death sentence to jump in the middle of thousands of those giant sharp fangs.”

“Sky Eels, huh?” Aquarina glanced into the distance, squinting her eyes.

These creatures were named Sky Eels for their great resemblance to actual eels. They had fish-like faces, ugly ones, with countless of sharp fangs, they lacked any form of limbs aside from their wings, which resembled the fins of a fish transformed into wings.

They came in a variety of shapes and colors, and the ones from that cliff were very diverse, green, red, purple, black, and even white Sky Eels could be seen. The smallest were as huge as four meters, and their bodies weren’t just long, but they were very thick as well, full of strong muscle and with mighty jaws with tremendous biting force.

The largest of them could go as far as six meters of heigh, sometimes even surpassing wyverns. One of the reasons they weren’t the prey of wyvern flocks was because of this too, and also because of their incredible unity.

Sky Eels gathered together in an area and placed hundreds of nests, where they would protect their eggs until they hatch and begin flying on their won, feeding mostly of anything else that’s smaller than them, and also plants, cactus, and even the giant, dry mushrooms, these creatures are hardy, perfectly adapted to these harsh conditions.

“The strongest goes as far as Tier 7, huh?” wondered Aquarina, inspecting their power levels with her system’s basic appraisal ability. “The majority are Tier 4 though, the weakest are Tier 3, there are some Tier 5 and 6 here and there. I think I can handle this without problem.”

“Wait, really? But you’ll… Hm, never mind,” nodded Justicio, he quickly realized Aquarina was Aquarina after all. “But I don’t know if I could, I mean, my physical defense reinforcement is still developing.”

“You haven’t absorbed the materials I gave you yet?” asked Aquarina.

“I-I don’t know how to do the ritual so I was hoping for you to help me out a bit…” Justicio sighed, lowering his head. “But I didn’t want to bother you yesterday…”

“Ahh, okay, I’ll tell mom to help us out too,” Aquarina nodded. “Okay then, you guys just stay here… Undine can you take care of their backs? A lot of the Eels might come here though, but they can handle them, right?”

“Sure, as long as it’s not a giant swarm,” nodded Silvia, summoning her Soul Weapon, a giant golden hammer. “I’ll smack them! Also Khepri’s magic should help me out too!”

“Yeah, I’ll punch them down,” nodded Justicio.

Although Aquarina knew that Justicio’s physical strength was amazing, she always thought it would be better for him to wield a giant axe or a huge two-handed blade, using his bare fists seemed like a waste of his strength.

“Hmm, here, take this Justicio, using your bare fists is not really a good idea,” she said. “I know you’re proud of your physical defenses, but a weapon will always be better than bare fists, even I know that and I’m always punching stuff.”

Aquarina took out from her inventory ring a huge tower shield of silver and brown metal, imbued with several spirit stones, and then a giant golden axe made using a bit of Orichalcum.

“W-Woah, what are these?!”

“Weapons I made to practice my Alchemy,” said Aquarina. “They aren’t the best of the best, can’t compare to Sylphy at all, but they can get the job done, so grab them and fight using them.”

“O-Okay, thanks!” Justicio seemed very happy. “I got some experience using axes because my dad always tells me to cut the lumber with the hatchet! But I never had the money to afford these types of equipment before, damn!”

Justicio came from a relatively poor family compared to the rest of the village, his parents were unable to pass the trials at their youth and were left much weaker than the rest.

Although the vast majority of the village were very strong, their power levels varied greatly based on how far they went through the trials of their youth.

Ultimately, because of this, they can’t hunt or gather as much, and were not too capable of gathering riches and valuable items to exchange for more luxurious things.

However, with their son growing stronger than them by now, and looking to have a much brighter future if he passed the Inheritance Trial, their future might soon change for the better.

“Thanks a lot Aquarina, I really appreciate it! I’ll treasure them forever!” said Justicio.

“You’re talking like I’m gifting them to you, I’m just letting you have them!” Aquarina said. “Hey bug, come with me! We’re going treasure hunting!”

Aquarina jumped off the cliff to the next, alerting every single Sky Eel.

“SHYAAAHHH!”

“Hm, now that I think about it, couldn’t I have used my shadows to get there undetected?”

Aquarina confirmed the fears of her mother, acting all reckless again…
