Chapter 1777 - 1634: Heaven and Earth Net

Chapter 1777: Chapter 1634: Heaven and Earth Net

Chu Mu’s speed could never match the Dragon Girl’s, and the direction in which the meteor fell happened to be the New Moon Land.

Fortunately, the Heavenly Palace only provided the Dragon Girl with a general location for the meteor. Her Fei Dragon lingered around the He Territory without accurately locating Yu Suo immediately.

Chu Mu passed through He Territory and flew straight toward World City in New Moon Land.

The Di Sheng Flower Holy Realm still remained in World City, and Chu Mu could only roughly guess that Yu Suo had set her Stealing Formation there.

The people of New Moon Land had already migrated away, leaving World City completely deserted. Wild Soul Pets were even seen darting recklessly along the abandoned streets.

Chu Mu entered the Original Soul Temple’s Sanctuary. Both the Gate of the Di Sheng Holy Domain and the Gate of the Dawn Sanctuary were still in World City, and neither of them was accessible to outsiders. Only members of the New Moon Palace could enter.

After Xia Zhixian gradually took control of the Flower type and one domain, the Di Sheng Holy Domain was essentially under her control. If she were aiding Yu Suo in setting up formations here, no one from the New Moon Palace would notice it.

Chu Mu entered the dusty Di Sheng Sanctuary Palace. The entire palace was eerily silent, seemingly devoid of people, but Chu Mu had already sensed numerous life auras and felt several pairs of eyes secretly watching him.

Chu Mu paid no mind to these individuals. They were undoubtedly Yu Suo’s subordinates and appeared to be quite powerful.

Their presence here confirmed that Yu Suo was indeed inside the Sanctuary Hall of the Di Sheng Holy Domain.

As he approached the hall’s entrance, two men commanding Slaughter Beasts stood sternly, their eyes fixed on Chu Mu with hostility.

"Who are you?" one of the men asked.

Chu Mu found it amusing. This was World City, his own territory, yet people were questioning him like this.

Chu Mu ignored the two men and entered the Sanctuary Hall directly.

The two guards frowned and instantly ordered the ferocious Slaughter Beasts to attack Chu Mu!

"Hoo~~~~"

Black and white flames rapidly engulfed Chu Mu’s body. Within the flames, his figure disappeared bizarrely, rendering the Slaughter Beasts’ fierce attacks completely ineffective.

By the time the men realized what had happened, Chu Mu had already entered the Di Sheng Sanctuary Hall.

The sanctuary, once guarded by numerous Holy Guards, was now empty. Only deserted staircases and an ancient Time-Space Gate remained.

On top of the staircase’s Holy Altar stood Yu Suo beneath the Holy Domain Gate. Her face was veiled in black silk, while a slender, graceful figure was wrapped in translucent dark fabric, faintly revealing her curves. Countless petals swirled around her like a halo of a celestial maiden.

She appeared lost in thought or perhaps chanting a spell, completely unaware of Chu Mu’s intrusion.

Chu Mu looked at her and spoke, "Leaving guards of that level outside doesn’t align with your usual style."

Chu Mu had entered from outside, where there were more than a dozen guards. However, they were far too weak for him to take seriously. If even stronger foes like the Dragon Girl came, how would Yu Suo defend herself?

Yu Suo remained silent, standing still without even turning around.

Chu Mu ascended the staircase, his footsteps heavy.

"Don’t come up!" Yu Suo said angrily.

"I’m here to help you," Chu Mu replied.

"I don’t need it. I told you, I don’t want to see you ever again!" Yu Suo still faced away from Chu Mu.

"You also said I’d die a miserable death, yet I’m still alive and well," Chu Mu remarked.

"You!" Yu Suo suppressed the anger rising in her heart and said, "Get lost! Far away!"

Chu Mu continued climbing the staircase. At that moment, a tall, slender figure emerged from the shadows beneath one of the torches.

The man bore a casual smile, his demeanor nonchalant, but his eyes glinted with unmistakable threat.

"Lady Yu has given you the honor of telling you to get lost, boy. Take the offer and leave!" the man said.

Chu Mu glanced at him and asked flatly, "Who are you?"

"Me?" The man smiled, replying, "Ning’s Dynasty, Ning Yinfeng. No one dares call me by that name; they call me Ning King."

Chu Mu stared at the man in slight surprise, realizing he was the most powerful figure of the Ning Royal Dynasty.

Yu Suo had managed to recruit such an arrogant and formidable figure. Her methods were undoubtedly exceptional.

Since Ning King was here, it implied that other human leaders must also be nearby. Chu Mu scanned the sanctuary, sensing hidden presences of several strong individuals whose power exceeded that of the guards outside and matched leader-level prowess!

After reaching the tenth rank, Yu Suo’s expansion efforts had become terrifyingly effective. She had truly transformed into a queen of the Mortal World.

She could force the entire Struggle Capital to evacuate and count Ning King as one of her subordinates. Moreover, other unseen figures here wielded significant influence as leaders of the Eight Great Powers.

These leaders commanded armies in the tens of thousands. If they orchestrated a united war, even the Heavenly Palace’s Imperial Guard Corps might struggle to withstand it.

"Chu Mu, long time no see," Tang Ang said, walking out slowly. His face bore a superficially friendly smile.

Chu Mu’s gaze passed Tang Ang, landing on Judge Xiao leaning against a wall, his shadow elongated by the torchlight.

All of these seasoned powerhouses from Struggle Continent, who had been concealing their presence, now emerged as Chu Mu entered the hall. It was evident Yu Suo had meticulously prepared, enlisting human leaders to confront the Heavenly Palace faction.

"Aside from the three you see here, there are seven more leaders outside, camped with elite forces numbering 30,000 strong. Do you think you’re needed here?" Ning King continued smiling casually.

This was World City, part of New Moon Land. Following the migration of its people, Chu Mu spent most of his time cultivating in Wanxiang City. He hadn’t anticipated Yu Suo spreading her strategic net across World City during this time, awaiting the Heavenly Palace’s arrival. He also hadn’t noticed when these leaders and human forces slipped into New Moon Land.

"Do you know who I just saw?" Chu Mu ignored Ning King’s disdain and addressed Yu Suo.

Yu Suo remained indifferent, not sparing Chu Mu even a glance, her focus unwaveringly fixed on the Time-Space Gate of the Di Sheng Holy Realm.

"The Dragon Girl. Your subordinates might at most hold off the three Great Imperial Guard Commanders of the Heavenly Palace," Chu Mu warned her.

Yu Suo trembled slightly, wanting to turn around but seemingly hesitating.

"I’ll deal with her," Yu Suo said.

"You’re no match for her," Chu Mu declared firmly.

Chu Mu was well aware of Yu Suo’s capabilities; she couldn’t possibly stand against someone of the Dragon Girl’s caliber unless she managed to rapidly absorb the Solar Eclipse energy.

But Chu Mu estimated that in no time, the Dragon Girl herself would arrive at World City, closely followed by the three Great Imperial Guard Commanders and their dragon army.

The leader-level powerhouses Yu Suo had summoned indeed surprised Chu Mu. However, he doubted whether they collectively stood a chance against the Dragon Girl’s overwhelming might.

Yu Suo fell silent; her calculations suggested the Dragon Girl shouldn’t have arrived so soon. Had her earlier plans to restrain the Dragon Girl in the Heavenly Palace been thwarted?

Yu Suo clearly understood the Dragon Girl’s strength. Without the Solar Eclipse energy, she would undoubtedly lose. Yet absorbing that energy required at least an entire day for her Flower Stealing Formation to fully charge.

The Dragon Girl could obliterate the kingdom Yu Suo painstakingly built in minutes.

"I have a plan to stall her, but it’s slightly dangerous," Chu Mu said, having seen Yu Suo’s memories. He knew she had no means of defeating the Dragon Girl.

Yu Suo gritted her teeth, silently vowing this would absolutely be the last time she ever spoke to him.

"You three, leave now," Yu Suo said, glancing at Ning King, Tang Ang, and Xiao Xue’ang.

The three men said nothing and walked out of the sanctuary hall.

Only Chu Mu and Yu Suo remained in the hall now, creating an eerie atmosphere.

Chu Mu ascended the sacred altar’s staircase and approached Yu Suo.

"Stop right there," Yu Suo said coldly.

"Without your mind-bending pollen, do you think I’d be interested in you?" Chu Mu said.

Yu Suo immediately looked as though she might erupt. The audacious remark from this bastard, who had stolen her most precious possession, sent her into a blind rage!

Seeing Yu Suo about to lose control, Chu Mu refrained from provoking her further and calmly stepped closer.

"I told you not to come closer!!" Yu Suo’s fury soared!

Suddenly, poisonous vines whipped through the air, their terrifying forms entwining across the empty sanctuary hall. They resembled ravenous monsters intent on devouring Chu Mu!

The ground beneath Chu Mu’s feet bristled with sword-like venomous spikes, poised to skewer him with any further step forward.

Chu Mu took a deep breath. Out of respect for Yu Qie, he decided not to argue with this madwoman.

"The Ancient Jiao Person is about to awaken. Lead the Dragon Girl to its domain. The Ancient Jiao Person’s seal is connected to the Totem Temple, right? If the Ancient Jiao Person sees the Dragon Girl from the Totem Temple here, it will undoubtedly think the Heavenly Palace is coming to provoke it again. Convince the Dragon Girl that the Solar Eclipse Array’s energy was stolen by the Ancient Jiao Person. They might not fight to the death, but as long as you delay enough time to absorb sufficient Red Fire Day energy, there’ll be no need to fear them," Chu Mu explained.

"Fine, then you bring the Dragon Girl to the Ancient Jiao Person’s domain," Yu Suo replied.

"Why me? You have so many subordinates," Chu Mu protested.

"If you die by the Dragon Girl’s hands, it’s no loss to me," Yu Suo sneered.

The venomous words of a vicious woman indeed—Chu Mu had come to help her execute her revenge plan, yet she was sending him to his death.

"Hmm, what happened to your face?" Chu Mu asked.

Yu Suo didn’t immediately catch on. When Chu Mu mentioned it, her expression darkened instantly, resembling a monster ready to consume him! (To be continued.
