Chapter 141: Sister is a Daoist Nun? Turns Out Daoist Nuns Can Hit People Too

“Brother! Big Sis is also in Tianjian City. Let’s go welcome her!” Lin Hongyu dragged Lin Qi’an along, hurrying over in an almost fiery rush.

This sister, Lin Qi’an hadn’t seen her in a long time. She wasn’t his biological sister but the orphan of a close friend of the Sword Emperor. Her original surname was Nan, later changed to Lin.

Her original name was Nan Liuli, and she had no blood ties with Lin Qi’an. The Sword Emperor treated her as his own daughter, even gifting her the Seven Treasures Glazed Flower when she was young to help her cultivate the Immaculate Glazed Body.

To further enhance her cultivation of the Perfect Glazed Body, she joined the most suitable sect for her physique—Beidou Divine Palace—becoming a Daoist nun!

Daoist nuns are different from Buddhist nuns. They don’t shave their heads or completely renounce worldly life, though they generally don’t marry unless they return to secular life.

Now, Lin Liuli was the Saintess of Beidou Divine Palace.

As Lin Qi’an approached, his system immediately reacted.

Ding! The Destined Child “Xi Chao” has successfully entered the plot.

Xi Chao, the Divine Son of the Xiling Divine Palace, was the third Destined Child detected by Lin Qi’an’s system.

Destined Child: Xi Chao

– Treasure: Frostfire Jade

– Luck: 1500 (Golden)

– Luck Core: Mystic Stone

– Current Kill Reward: None

Looking at Xi Chao’s panel, Lin Qi’an couldn’t help but feel amazed. His luck value was an astonishing 1500! Lin Qi’an had never seen such a high number—not even Zhao Qingmeng, the reborn Great Emperor, reached this level.

The luck core, “Mystic Stone,” was likely a rare treasure of chaos-level quality. Lin Qi’an was determined to claim it.

Ye Yun, Li Xuan, and now Xi Chao—these were the three strongest youths in the Canglan Dao Domain, and all of them were Destined Children!

Three against one, huh? Pressure? That doesn’t exist for Lin Qi’an. He felt only excitement. The first two fools barely lasted a moment under him, but three of them together might be interesting.

The Destined Girl tied to Xi Chao had to be… Big Sis? Golden Luck Destined Girl—Lin Liuli!

Damn it. His sister was the Destined girl—this was troublesome. To reduce Xi Chao’s luck value, would Lin Qi’an really have to flirt with his sister?

Though they weren’t blood-related, and she wasn’t truly a Lin, she was still his foster father’s adopted daughter. Besides, she was a Daoist nun, far removed from worldly desires.

Forget it for now. First, they have to welcome her.

Lin Qi’an, holding his little sister Lin Hongyu’s hand, hurried to the gates of the palace city. Sure enough, two groups were gathered there, with many onlookers nearby.

“My heavens! That’s the crown prince’s sister? She’s stunning—a true beauty who could topple kingdoms!”

“Yeah, she’s gorgeous! Why isn’t she on the rankings of famous beauties?”

“She’s a Daoist nun! Do you even understand what that means?”

“That Divine Son of Xiling is also dashing and extraordinary. They look like a perfect match, don’t they?”

Indeed, Lin Liuli was conversing with Xi Chao. It was no surprise that the Destined Child and the Destined Girl knew each other. Without interference, they would naturally end up together.

“Thank you again for your help earlier, Divine Son. Farewell,” Lin Liuli said with a slight bow.

Earlier, on her way to the city, Lin Liuli’s group had been attacked by magical beasts. Though not a major threat, it was troublesome enough that Xi Chao stepped in to assist, easily resolving the issue.

“No need to thank me,” Xi Chao replied with a smile.

Dressed in white, holding a folding fan, he exuded the elegance of a noble gentleman.

He smiled slightly. “In the future, Miss Lin may call me by my name directly.”

Hearing the word “Miss,” Lin Liuli frowned slightly. As a Daoist nun, she should be addressed as “Daoist, or “Dao Master.” “Miss” was inappropriate.

Although she felt displeased, she did not speak out.

At this moment, a voice rang out from ahead. “That term ‘Miss’ seems rather inappropriate!”

Hearing this, Xi Chao frowned, looking toward the source of the voice.

Lin Liuli and the surrounding crowd also turned to see who had spoken.

The newcomer was a man in pure white, accompanied by a young girl in bright red. It was none other than the Crown Prince of Beiyang, Lin Qi’an, and his sister, Lin Hongyu.

“Lin Qi’an…” Xi Chao’s eyes narrowed, a flash of coldness passing through them.

Last time, Lin Qi’an had embarrassed the Xiling Divine Palace in the Western Sea. This grudge was far from over.

Lin Liuli, however, broke into a radiant smile upon seeing her siblings. The joy almost overflowed from her expression.

“Qi’an! Hongyu!” She stepped forward to greet them.

“Elder Sister, hehe~” Lin Hongyu ran straight into Lin Liuli’s embrace.

Lin Qi’an, on the other hand, bowed and greeted her formally. “Greetings, Daoist Lin Liuli!”

The title “Daoist” sounded much more appropriate than “Miss.”

Lin Liuli couldn’t help but look at him with mock annoyance. “It’s been so long, and you don’t even call me Sister anymore? You’re asking for a beating!”

She raised her delicate hand and playfully smacked Lin Qi’an on the back of his hand, an affectionate gesture typical of siblings.

“Sister, I was just worried some people might not know how to address you properly, so I came to demonstrate,” Lin Qi’an replied, already stepping into his role as a villain, sowing discord.

The onlookers burst into laughter.

“Haha! Imagine calling a Daoist nun from Beidou Divine Palace ‘Miss’!”

“Looks like this Xiling Divine Son may have cultivation, but he knows nothing of manners.”

“When compared to the Crown Prince of Beiyang, he’s lacking, isn’t he?”

“A Little? They’re both dressed in white, but he doesn’t look as handsome as the Crown Prince!”

“His cultivation is higher, though.”

“You’re mentioning cultivation in front of the Crown Prince? Don’t you know he could defeat someone at a higher realm in minutes?”

Hearing the discussions of the crowd, Xi Chao’s expression shifted, unable to maintain his composure. He turned with a flourish of his sleeve. “Farewell!”

“Lin Qi’an, you’ve certainly been causing quite a stir lately! Even at Beidou Divine Palace, I hear your name daily,” Lin Liuli said, half-teasing.

From defeating countless geniuses in Nanyue, carrying a princess without cultivation to victory during the Great Hunt, and astounding all the scholars and poets at the literary assembly by gaining the Wenqu Emperor’s legacy, to repelling demonic forces—every single feat was enough to shake the entire Canglan Dao Domain.

Combined, it felt almost unreal.

Sometimes, Lin Liuli herself doubted.

She couldn’t help but ask those who told her, “Are you sure this Lin Qi’an is my brother?”

“Absolutely! It’s the Crown Prince of Beiyang. He’s unbelievably powerful,” her fellow disciples always responded with awe, which filled Lin Liuli with pride.

“Well, I suppose it’s barely acceptable,” Lin Qi’an remarked casually as their group approached the palace quarters to meet their parents.

On the way, with no outsiders present, Lin Liuli’s demeanor shifted entirely.

“You rascal!” she exclaimed. “How long has it been since you last came to visit me? You’re quite impressive out there, huh? Running around looking for women, is that it?”

Lin Qi’an groaned. “My life is over! A Daoist nun is hitting me!”

“Who says Daoist nuns can’t hit people?” Lin Liuli smirked and began to count names off on her fingers. “Su Xueni, Zi Lianyou, Ran Yuwei, Lu Miaoyin… and even Zhao Qingmeng? Impressive!”

For every name, she smacked Lin Qi’an lightly. By the time she was done, he was thoroughly exasperated.

“Sister, how do you know everything about me when you’re all the way in Beidou Divine Palace?”

“What? I can’t keep tabs on my little brother?”

Though Lin Qi’an was the awe-inspiring Crown Prince of Beiyang, capable of dominating any scene like a deity descending to earth, he could never stand tall in front of his elder sister. When Lin Liuli hit him, there was no retaliation—what could he do, fight back?

“Sister, what’s your cultivation level now?”

“Peak Celestial Realm.”

“So strong?”

Her cultivation was higher than Zhao Yunji’s. Though she was older by a few years, it was still reasonable.

The family of five reunited in a lively and joyous atmosphere.

“Liuli, aside from attending the grand ceremony, do you have any other plans?” Mu Qingzhu asked.

Lin Liuli nodded. “The Perfect Glazed Body requires enduring the Five Element Tribulations. I’ve passed three but still need to face the hardest one: the Ice-Fire Tribulation. If I succeed, I should break through to the Dao Transformation Realm.”

Hearing this, Lin Qi’an suddenly understood. Xi Chao had the “Frostfire Jade.” In the original plot, he would have helped his sister overcome the tribulation—these stories always followed that pattern.

But this time, Lin Qi’an was here, and things would be different.

“I’ll kill that Destined Child myself and help my sister pass the tribulation,” he resolved.

The day of the Tianlang Immortal Dynasty’s millennial grand ceremony was drawing near. Everyone who needed to arrive had arrived.

Since even Lin Liuli had come, Lin Qi’an naturally left Zhao Qingmeng’s residence to stay at his own palace in Tianjian City. That night, he chatted with his two sisters until late, only leaving when they went to rest.

As he stepped outside, he noticed a group of sword guards sneaking around in plain clothes, clearly preparing to leave.

“Crown Prince!” The guards quickly saluted upon noticing him.

“Looking shifty there. Where are you off to?” Lin Qi’an asked, raising an eyebrow.

“To… the Pleasure Quarter,” one guard replied sheepishly. “Would you like to join us, Your Highness?”

“The Pleasure Quarter?!” Lin Qi’an’s eyes lit up.
