Villain Ch 1066. Problem Solved?

In the Hell’s Gate. The Cursed Monastery’s dim, decaying hallways echoed with the sounds of battle as Allen and his group fought through wave after wave of cursed creatures. Their grotesque forms were wrapped in tattered priest and priestess robes. The stench of decay lingered in the air, but none of them were afraid. They were used to this kind of atmosphere.

Even as the monsters closed in, their conversations continued, unfazed.

Shea called out while unleashing her blade feathers in a wide arc, cutting down several cursed creatures at once. “You just met Mila?” she asked, her tone a mix of curiosity and shock.

Allen swung his sword in one smooth motion, slicing through an undead creature with ease. “Yes,” he replied. His red eyes gleamed as he glanced at the oncoming horde.

Nearby, Vivian flapped her wings as she evaded an attack from a cursed priestess. Her whip cracked with a vicious snap, decapitating one of the monsters. “Why was she there?” Vivian asked with a sharp edge in her voice. “Was she stalking you again? Or trying to set you up like before?”

Allen shook his head, casually cleaving through another mob of cursed beings. “I don’t think so. She seemed surprised to see me there, just as I was. Besides, James was there too.”

Zoe smashed a cursed creature with one of her many tentacles, sending it flying against a wall with a sickening thud. “That James? Ugh…” she muttered, her disdain for him obvious.

Shea glanced at Zoe with confusion. “Okay, wait, James who?”

Zoe, still annoyed, responded, “Stoutforge family. He’s from one of the investor families.”

Shea grimaced. “Ugh, that cunning family. I’ve heard about them—always looking for a way to profit. No wonder he’s tied up in this mess.”

Allen raised an eyebrow as he effortlessly dispatched another cursed monk. “Oh, so it runs in the family?” he asked, his voice laced with mild amusement.

Zoe nodded, her tentacles flaring as she ripped through another cluster of cursed priests. “Definitely. His whole family’s notorious for it. They don’t miss a chance to manipulate a situation to their advantage.”

Allen smirked, his hand rising as dark energy swirled at his fingertips. “Well, that’s bad news for Mila then.” He launched his Dark Orbs at the incoming mobs, the orbs exploding on impact and vaporizing the cursed monks in a blast of shadow and energy.

Despite being only at level one of the Cursed Monastery, the endless waves of undead were relentless. This dungeon was part of the latest update, designed to reduce the player crowding in Black Castle by offering something new for high-level players. Yet, strangely, it seemed that few dared to venture here.

Perhaps they were too accustomed to the familiar maps, or maybe the sheer difficulty of the dungeon had scared them off. Either way, Allen and his companions were alone in the desolate ruins.

“Why bad news for her?” Jane asked, summoning her undead army with a flick of her wrist. Skeletal warriors rose from the cracked stone floor, their bones clattering as they charged toward the cursed beings.

“Hey, that’s cheating!” complained Larissa, her voice dripping with sarcasm as she stood not far from Jane, attacking the oncoming mobs with her blood manipulation skill. Tendrils of blood snaked around her, sharp edges pierced through the undead monsters, tearing them apart.

Jane rolled her eyes, smirking as she watched her army of undead doing her work for her. “Gotta do what a necromancer should do,” she quipped, her voice playful yet dark, as if amused by her own power.

Allen chuckled, but there was something more serious lingering in his mind. “It seems James is using Mila,” he said, his voice low.

“That’s obvious,” Zoe grunted, crushing another cursed priest with her tentacles. “James isn’t exactly subtle. Poor girl probably doesn’t even realize it.”

Allen shook his head, a hint of sympathy flickering in his red eyes. “Yeah, it’s pretty clear now. I didn’t see it at first, but she’s caught in the middle of all this without even knowing it. Poor her.”

Vivian hovered nearby, her bat-like wings flapping softly as she surveyed the battlefield with a bored expression. “I thought she had a crush on you,” she said, her tone dripping with mild disdain.

“She does,” Allen admitted, swinging his sword again and slicing through a cursed monk with a single, clean strike. His voice was matter-of-fact. “She has feelings for me.”

Bella cringed slightly at the revelation, her fox ears twitching. “Ugh. Humans and their feelings,” she muttered under her breath. “Always so messy.”

“You are also a human, Bella,” reminded Zoe, giving her a flat stare.

Alice raised an eyebrow as she casually threw a huge Shadow Bomb at a cluster of cursed beings, setting them ablaze in a dark blaze explosion. “Then take her as one of us,” she said nonchalantly, as if it were the simplest solution. “If she cares about you, and you think she’s worth saving, bring her into our side.”

“It’s not that simple,” Allen said finally, lowering his sword as he turned to face Alice. “What about her family? Her connections? Everything she’s tied to?”

Alice grimaced, her sharp eyes narrowing as she considered the point. “You’re right,” she admitted. “Her family is a major obstacle. It’s not like you’re just dealing with her feelings—you’re dealing with everything that comes with her.”

Shea, however, smirked, the glint in her eyes revealing her devilish sense of humor. “Then just bring her whole family to our side,” she said, her voice playful but with a hint of seriousness behind it. “Problem solved, right?”

Allen glanced at Shea, arching an eyebrow. “Is that even possible?”

Zoe answered before Shea could. “Yes, it is. Alliances between two wealthy families are more common than you think. It’s similar to political marriages in the old days. The only difference is that in modern times, it’s replaced by business interests.” She swung one of her tentacles, smashing a cursed priest into the ground with brutal force, her voice calm as if discussing a casual topic.

“But since her family is your family’s rival, both sides would have to lower their egos for that to happen.”
