Kong smashed into the wolf horde like a cannonball, sending flesh and blood flying everywhere at the point of impact.
It was an aggressive monster, to begin with, not to mention an overlord of its own territory. If left alone, it would naturally evolve into a Rank 8 Sovereign, making it stronger.
Unfortunately, it happened to meet Thirteen and Sherry, who deliberately traveled around Solterra to look for strong monsters like it.
Simply put, the Silver-Haired Ape was at the wrong place at the wrong time.
If it hadn’t met the two traveling teenagers, maybe it would still be an Overlord who didn’t know about true fear.
However, Sherry assured Kong that meeting them was a blessing and not a curse. As such, it reluctantly agreed to go inside Sherry’s Domain, allowing her to summon her anytime she needed its help.
“Is it just me, or is Kong venting his anger on those poor wolves?” Thirteen asked. “What do you think, Wifey?”
The young lady sitting behind him blushed, knowing he often called her wifey just to tease her.
“He is indeed venting his anger on those wolves,” Sherry answered. “It’s been a while since he was able to come out of the domain.”
Unaware of what they were thinking, Kong smashed one wolf after the other, thinking they were the teenage boy, who had threatened it back then.
It was the most humiliating experience Kong had faced in its lifetime, and it hated no one more in the world than the person who took its freedom away from it.
The Wolves ganged up on the frenzied Silver-Haired Ape, but their attacks couldn’t even break past its defenses.
Its body was harder than steel, and no ordinary attacks could get past it.
Just like an unstoppable Juggernaut, Kong wreaked havoc on the battlefield.
Cristopher’s Avatars, including Brutus, showed as much ferocity as the silver ape and annihilated everything within their strike range.
The battlefield was in complete pandemonium as Thirteen’s soldiers and Nick’s subordinates joined the fray.
When those at Runestone City saw the live broadcast of the ongoing massacre, two of the Captains stationed there decided to mobilize their forces.
Their destination?
Towards the place where Zion Leventis was currently at.
If the wolf monsters were defeated today, they would no longer have to worry about monsters raiding their city.
This would give them time to get a breather and allow the injured soldiers to recuperate.
The battle was harsh, and both sides didn’t back down in the slightest.
The wolves relied on their superior numbers to overwhelm their enemies by attacking in waves.
What these wolves failed to realize was that three hundred hidden monsters were culling their numbers from under the ground.
This wasn’t Tiona’s and her subordinate’s first rodeo, so they already knew the trick to fight without being noticed by their enemies.
Each of her demons had 149 additional abilities added to their skill sets, making them the most versatile and deadliest Rank 1 Monsters in both Pangea and Solterra.
Thirteen was still working on upgrading the Parade of a Hundred Demons, allowing them to increase their ranks.
If that really happened, they would become more powerful and deadlier.
Even Laplace Demon and The One were worried about the young man succeeding in upgrading his Divine Artifact, knowing it would make him truly unstoppable.
The only saving grace was that Thirteen was easy to talk to and was willing to do missions for them.
So, they turned a blind eye to his attempts to make his Soul Eater Armor and Parade of a Hundred Demons stronger.
With the fate of the world at stake, they were more lenient in letting the System of Cannon Fodders become more powerful at this point in time.
Suddenly, some of the wolves decided that the monsters and humans that they were facing were too difficult to fight.
They then charged in Thirteen’s direction, currently located beside the Bee Bee Crew, who were busy broadcasting the battle in real-time.
Hugo, who had stayed behind to protect the teenage boy, smashed his fists together and transformed into a three-meter-tall Bronze Giant.
Thirteen glanced at his bodyguard, who now stood in front of him, ready to fight the wolves to the death if he had to.
He then whispered something in Sherry’s ear, making the latter nod her head obediently.
Just like what she did earlier, Sherry pointed at her right side as if she was going to summon more monsters.
A moment later, Giga, Stacy, Blacky, Hercules, and Drazzat appeared.
The Adamantine Tiger Beetle, Hercules, didn’t hesitate and charged forward.
It was a moving tank, and unless their attacks could pierce through Adamantine, the wolves had no chance of defeating it.
Thirteen had given it the Road Runner Martial Skill, allowing it to move incredibly fast as long as it ran in a straight line.
With momentum faster than a speeding train, the Adamantine Beetle smashed through the monster horde and crushed everything in its way.
Of course, Hercules was not enough to deal with the majority of the wolves that had decided to target their Master.
That was where Giga and Stacy came in.
Both Blaze Skunks turned around and raised their tails.
Two blazing infernos that could even melt metal erupted from their backside.
The wolves, who were running at full speed, weren’t able to stop in time and were engulfed by the searing flames that burned and melted their bodies as if they were exposed to very strong acid.
Those who were able to get past the firewall didn’t manage to travel far as they, too, collapsed on the ground, with their bodies burning and melting at the same time.
After their fire spray ended, Giga and Stacy looked in the direction of the wolves, who seemed to have not lost the will to fight.
They circled around the flames, finding a path where they could attack their targets.
But just as they were about to pass the path that wasn’t covered in flames, a whip sliced them in half.
Char looked at the wolves as if she had just dealt with some harmless sheep.
Clark stood beside her, holding his sword in hand.
The two had followed Zion’s entourage but hadn’t joined the battle because Thirteen asked them to guard him and Bee Bee Cee crew.
Since the wolves were now only hundreds of meters away from the teenage boy, both of them decided to act and deal with the pesky monsters.
“The one who kills less will cook tonight’s dinner,” Clark stated.
“Fine,” Char smirked as she tugged at her whip. “You’re on, cooking master boy.”
The two teenagers then lunged at the wolves with their whip and sword at the ready.
“Make sure to get a close-up view of the two of them,” Thirteen sent a message to the reporter, who immediately ordered her cameraman to focus on Char and Clark fighting at the front lines.
Since an ex-scion of a Monarch Clan and the daughter of a Prestigious Family had officially joined the battle, their fame would start to spread like wildfire.
Thirteen was certain it would entice the members of the other powerful families into sending their prodigies to the frontlines, letting the world know that they were also actively fighting for the sake of humanity.
The teenage boy wanted Clark and Char to be the faces that represented the Monarch Clans and the Prestigious Families on the battlefield, which would give the two teenagers the influence to affect certain decisions in the future.
Although Clark was no longer part of the Ashford Clan, the blood of his family still flowed inside his veins.
Most importantly, his father, Claude was still the Patriarch of the Ashford Clan.
If he saw his son fighting at the front lines, then he would definitely pull some strings in the background.
Thirteen was waiting for that opportunity to form a connection with Claude.
The only one he hated in the Ashford Clan was Aaron.
As for his descendants, all of them were innocent in Thirteen’s eyes.
Children couldn’t choose their parents to whom they were born.
Thirteen understood this fact, and he wasn’t petty enough to treat the entirety of the Ashford Clan like how he treated Aaron.
This was why he took Clark under his fold, and soon, he would also bring Claude under his thumb.
Once he had full control of the Ashford Clan from behind the scenes, he would be able to deal with the aftermath of fighting Aaron, after the Cygni Invasion had ended.
